I used it for my rescue horse, who doesn't seem to poop as much as he should and doesn't always eat all his hay. Since I've started, he eats more and poops more!

The equine nutritionist at our local Southern States recommended this supplement for my nervous and my ulcery horses. Less expensive than several other brands and my horses seem content.
ILKA M on Jun 23, 2015
All five horses will eat this and it clearly has helped at least one of them gain significant (actually too much!) weight. Also the manure is noticeably smaller/more compact.

Great stuff. Stopped watery stools for my horse.
ANGIE S on Jun 14, 2015
is this pelleted, or powder?
A shopper on Nov 10, 2014
Best Answer: It is a course powder. It mixes well into a grain feed but I put a little water into a pelletted feed so the Opti-Zyme sticks better, otherwise it willl sift to the bottom of the grain bucket.

I board my horse an hour from me. If I only feed it to him 3 days a week will it do any good?
Carla D on Oct 15, 2015
Best Answer: Hi, anything is better than nothing. Fortunatly my horse is 50 ft. from my house & I feed this almost every morning. If I don't feed this I give her three to four apples. She had a conpaction a year ago so I have been giving her the mix since. She will deficate 3 to 4 times a night.. I have a mix I use with bran, a cup of rolled oats, opti
zyme, antigest, calf-manna & some apple sauce. My horse loves this mixture and will ask for it after I give her her hay. The main thing you want to achieve is to keep those guts moving. A horse, like us if thier guts aren't moving, they are not feeling well. A horse's intestinal track is very sensitive. Good luck and Happy Trails!!
