Rated 5 out of 5 by AMAZING I noticed an instant difference in my horse's coat! It says 2-8 ounces a day and I only feed two. And the container is HUGE it is going to last me forever and a day feeding it to two horses. April 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by It's A Got To Have On Hand Thing Flaxseed is a great supplament. My mare is 8 . her coat looked dull last summer. I tried this in her morning feed and with in a month i could see a good diffrence. It just brings out the best in the coat and over all look with out her getting all hot. Other products i tried made her worse. At age 80 I do not need a hot horse. I changed her grain to pelletts and added this and she's mellowed out.Now everyone in the barn is using it. It's worth it. No additives. It's simply flaxseed.I'm not one for messing around with supplements but, this one ? I have to have. March 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product I got this for my OTTB that just retired in November 2011. She was having skin and hoof issues as well as a deteriorating body condition. She's been on Simply Flax for a full month now and I've seen improved coat, hooves, and her topline is finally coming back. She's a finicky eater, but will lick Simply Flax out of her bucket. She loves it! Can't say enough good things about this product. February 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Product I started this with my gelding last spring to help shed his winter woolies! By the end of spring his woolies were gone and a dappled liver chestnut with shiny coat was revealed! Raves from friends about his beautiful coat! Best of all he ate every bit without hesitation! EXCELLENT product! February 2, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by It does work After having to cut cost I needed to buy a less expensive skin supplement for my Arab mare who gets dry flaky skin. This product really works just as well as the more expensive smartshine I had been using. My mare has a healthy shiny coat even with her winter fluff. I will continue to purchase this product December 26, 2011

I give this to both horses to ensure healthy digestive results and one of my horses has a sensitive digestive system and this has helped him tremendously

I just like this product. It is palatable and the price is very reasonable and I'd rather feed this kind of supplement than actual flax seed.

My horse is currently on Farnam Horseshoers Secret Concentrate, which also contains some of the same ingredients as Manna Pro Simply Flax. Is it safe to give him Manna Pro Simply Flax and Farnam Horseshoers Secret Concentrate at the same time?
Katie C on Jan 6, 2015
Best Answer: Hi Katie. I don't know if you got your question answered, but my friends would say you've come to the right place for an answer. I do a lot of research on supplements and such that I give to my horses. I have two Quarter Horses, one is 35+ years old and has lost a lot of teeth so I make a mush for him twice a day using beet pulp pellets, equine senior, wheat bran, rice bran pellets, soy bean meal, rolled corn and I put two scoops of Simply Flax in his that's 4 scoops a day. It's really good for his joints, coat, and helps support his circulatory system. It says to feed the Simply Flax up to 8 scoops a day. That seems to be quite a bit and so, if you are not using 8 scoops a day, I think that the amount of flax in the Horseshoer's Secret would balance it out. I honestly don't think you will harm your horse feeding both at the same time. I'm familiar with the Horseshoer's Secret as my other horse foundered several years ago. I supplement him with Horseshoer's Secret in the morning feeding and Remission in his evening feeding. Good luck! Bobbie S.

I have miniatures and would like to know amount to feed them. Was giving them a scoop day and night but have backed off to once a day. Am I feed them to much?
Dionne P on Apr 30, 2014
Best Answer: I feed my B-size miniatures 1-2 ounces (so 1-2 scoops) daily depending on their needs. Those that just need a bit of shine added to their coats get 1 ounce; that that need a little weight get 2 ounces. And, my little 31" senior stallion gets 1 ounce daily.

What s the difference between simply flax and flax seed oil?
Alicia S on Apr 7, 2015
Best Answer: Hi Alicia, Simply Flax is ground flax seed. Not messy, comes with a 1 oz scoop in each bucket and easy to feed. Flax oil is just that. It's the oil that comes from flax seed. I feed Simply Flax because I know it works for my horses. They have great hooves, a soft, beautiful coat, their skin is healthier, and for my older gelding, it actually helps his joints. The choice is yours but I can't recommend Simply Flax enough to you. Thanks.

How many days does this product last? It does not say in the description as the other products do. Is it a 24 day supply? 80 day?
Joy R on Oct 12, 2015
Best Answer: The product is 128 ounces. The feeding directions state feed 2 to 8 ounces daily. Depending on the feed schedule it could last anywhere from 64 to 16 days.

I have a gelding that is always itching and scratching. I feel so bad for him :( He is a easy keeper and so is my mare. I would like to start giving him Simply Flax because I give other manna pro products and trust the name, so my question is will the flax put on extra calories that he doesn't need?
VICKI C on Sep 30, 2015
Best Answer: This item should not make him gain weight.
