Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent for the Price Like other reviews have mentioned, this does run small. I have a huge Arab who usually wears cob size or horse size on the smallest setting and the nose and piece is about 3" closer to the cheekbone than the one pictured. This is not adjustable. That being said, I love this bridle. My horse has a melanoma in his mouth and can no longer take a bit. I have tried the expensive Dr. Cooks and honestly this one is better. He is very responsive, especially to the whoa, with a light touch. It stays put. It is not the highest quality but for less than $15 bucks how could anyone one expect more? I love it and would buy it again. Only suggestion is more sizes. May 9, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Product this is a good bridle for my horse.she is getting the hang of it. i wish it was adjustable but it is not so basically 1 size the jaw piece slips but other than that is is pretty good. the price is wonderful and i would buy another. the rains are nylon so stretch could not control a high strung horse. My horse loves it and is not itchy at all. i would buy 10 more! Rated 2 out of 5 by No good My sister bought this to use on her sensitive QH mare. It did not work. The reins are stretchy and the part where they attach under the noseband pulls tight under the horse's chin. The rope does not feel like good quality. Don't waste your money. December 31, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this I don't see how everyone is complaining about this bridle. The reins are very stretchy, but it's wonderful. I bought it for my little mare who stands at 13.3h with an arab type head, and it fits her perfect. She has just been started under saddle and would not take the bit at all, so I bought her this and she is amazing with it. Rides perfect with no head tossing. The nose peice is not like a choke chain, you just have to loosen it to slip the nose through, and then slip over their ears. I will be buying another one of these for my other horses. Rated 1 out of 5 by Really Cheap Made It did not fit my horse at all. He hated it. I do not recommend it! Its really stretchy and my horse did not respond to it what so ever and the nose cinch thing never loosened so therfore was extremly annoying to my horse! But it depends on the horse I guess. Rated 4 out of 5 by very Good product Great on the horse he handles so much calmer with this. No head Shaking no problems. November 23, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not that Good I bought this for my Quarter Horse mare. She has a pretty normal sized face. This fit her almost perfectly, except the noseband. The rings where the reins clip are very heavy so the noseband is like a choke chain almost. It puts a lot of pressure under their chin. Another thing is that the reins are very stretchy making it hard to get light contact. I didn't like this at all and would not recommend it. November 15, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Like others have said, runs VERY small I am unfortunately going to have to return this. My gelding has a small head, all the regular "horse sized" equipment (halters, bridles, fly masks) are on the smallest adjustable setting. So even after I read the reviews that this runs small I thought it would probably fit him... but I could barely even get this up over his ears and the noseband was too tight so there was no slack in the crossunder. I have an English crossunder we use daily so I know how they work and it's not a case of user error. This just didn't fit. October 19, 2012

I have a couple of horses that are just distracted by their bit, hoping this will work for them.

Is this a scrawbrig or a hackamore?
A shopper on Dec 2, 2014
Best Answer: It's not worth wasting your time purchasing, runs small, is poorly constructed, stretchy, way to soft, and the design is just poor. I ordered the Mustang side pull with out reins, it was $25 and I love it! Very well made, constructed of nice materials, strong rings and fit my Belgian quarter mare nicely! Don't waste your $15 on this one

Do you recommend this(or bitless bridles in general) for beginning riders?
A shopper on Dec 27, 2014
Best Answer: Hi! Although this bridle did come in handy for me, it didn't come in handy for riding use. The bridle is a very very soft nylon. It falls off of my horses head a lot. I use it more as a halter than a bridle. Besides the fact that it falls off of my horses head, the nose band is way to thin which puts in my opinion to much pressure in one spot. I do recommend a Dr.Cooks bitless bridle. I have just purchased one and it's fantastic. My horse responds to it very well. It is pricy but is completely worth the money. The Dr.Cooks bridle does not come with reins but the reins in the bridle on the website are way too log and not sturdy at all. I would not recommend this bridle for a beginner rider especially for a beginner horse. This is bridle would for fit for a more advanced/relaxed horse.

Is this considered a Western bridle?
bob r on Dec 6, 2014
Best Answer: We only use it for light riding in a small area when riding bareback for fun. Would not use it only for a bridle unless real gentle horse.
