I have a high-spirited 3 yo stallion. This hackamore settled him down immediately. He did not seem to mind wearing it and it gave me good control when working with him, where a regualar halter or bosal did not. He is about 1200 pounds and it fit him perfectly. Its too small for my gelding. He's about 1600 pounds. The browband is too short. I was disappointed, I was hoping to use it as a trail bridle on him. I moved the headband down to the loop where the rope passes through and this helped, but the rope across the throat is barely long enough to get it over his head.

My friends always told me to use this bridle. I have been searching for a perfect or NEAR perfect bridle. Then, one of my friends put this bridle on her horse when we went on a trail, and my friend's horse was amazingly moveable and loved the bridle. He would even rub the bridle when he saw it. It was hilarious.

The first day i got it i wasnt so sure it would work, but i saw remarkable changes. My horse was always afraid of lunging but with the breaking hackamore she was perfect!!!

Well, I bought this hackamore for a horse who absolutely will not take the bit it ended up working really well. Wuick and easy like a halter to put on yet durable like leather. Its synthetic which I am peronally not a fan of those sort of products, but I found it incredibly strong. I have to admitt I was inpressed. My only dislike about it was that yes, it is synthetic and only the noseband held its shape. Love the reinds, they might possibly be the best reins that I have ever had theyre nice thick, heavy durable ones yet they are still flexible and fit into your hands nice.
