Why did you choose this? Store
like bitless and price
lyndsay h on Sep 28, 2014
Borrowed a bitless bridle from a friend to use for a trail ride and our 17 year old mare seemed so much more relaxed without anything in her mouth. I couldn't find one exactly like the one I borrowed but this looks close and for the price I really hope it works.

can you hook up reins to it???????????????????
margaret on Jul 4, 2015
Best Answer: yes you can. there are rings for the reins to attach to... I used it on an unbroken horse as her first headstall. We got some really long driving reins so that we could crisscross them under her chin. This allowed us to move her nose... We also bought a halter padding set to cover the rawhide so that it didn't rub... worked great..

Did the rawhide noseband rip up the horse's nose?
ShapeShifter314 on Mar 28, 2014
Best Answer: Hi, I actually wrapped the noseband with a soft felt like material before I ever used it.(the kind of fabric that you would use for edging on a blanket so it doesn't fray) so I don't know if it would. It is pretty stiff though. Personally, I wouldn't use it just plain unless the horse is already very soft. I also added another strap to the first rings that goes under my horses cheeks so it doesn't mover around his face so much.(it tends to move up very close to the eye sometimes) I do like it though and I actually sewed turquoise beads onto the browband and it looks real nice. :-)
