Is this a halter or a headstall?
A shopper on Jan 13, 2016
Best Answer: We use this as both in our therapeutic riding program. Reins are easily attached to the side rings, but no bit is used with this. We can lead the horse as if you were using a halter and the student can practice using reins at the same time.

How do you adjust halters to fit different size horses?
Eileen L on Dec 7, 2015
Best Answer: The rope that goes over the horse's head and attaches to the noseband has a knot so it is easy to adjust the noseband position up and down. The throat lash is also attached with a knot. Those are the only adjustable pieces. The noseband is fixed size.

Will it fit large thoroughbred head?
A shopper on Jan 20, 2016
Best Answer: The noseband is approx. 25" and is not adjustable. I use it on an 1150 lb Thoroughbred mare and it fits fine, but she does have a relatively fine boned head structure. I have the Black and Tan version ; it looks very striking on a bay horse.
