My horse had dry spots when I used the tacky saddle pad, so I knew it was creating pressure points. I did some looking around and wool is one of the best materials for preventing pressure points and keeping your horse dry, and it is true! I used this on Saturday and my horse was dry under this pad and the other horse my sister was riding was all sweaty. (She was using the tacky pad.) I was amazed! It also prevents saddle slippage! Highly recommended!! I will most definetly buy again if needed!

This is a nice pad, you do have to pull out some of the "pokey" fibers before using but that takes all of 2 minutes, conforms to horse and is light weight but nice padding. Wish it came in a 32x32 This fits perfect under my 15" roper but might be to small if your saddle is larger, happy i only ordered one as i will need a bigger one for my husbands saddle. Good quality for the price, ill put my cheap blankets over it for a little extra pad and to look nicer. Item is exactly as described in photo.

Great for under thick blanket or thin pad. Conforms to the shape of horse. I just wish it came in a larger size.

I bought this pad for a higher withered mustang that is just starting saddle training ... I like the ability to pad up or down as needed with blankets so I was hoping that this liner would be enough "squish" to help him be comfoetable till I can really suss out how my saddles fit on him. So far it is a nice pad, conforms well, seems to keep him cooler than the synthetic stuff did ... My only issue was that there were burs, stickers or some other kind of manufacturing by product that I had to really be careful to pick out on both sides before using (I wish this was already done, but oh well!) ... For the quality and price I would definitely buy again!

Very useful pad, works well for my horse that doesn't need a thick pad.

I bought this pad and really like it. Getting ready to buy another one. It does conform well to your horses back and keep them comfortable. There were a few pokey little pieces that seem to be woven a bit in the fabric but I just went over the underside of the pad with my hand really well and pulled them out before I used it. I am back on here to purchase another one for another horse. Great buy for the money.

I got this in tan and I use it under my saddle and it works great at absorbing sweat and keeping it away from my mares back conformed to her very well and she seems to feel more comfortable on rides now. I love it so much I'm buying another one for my other horse!

I have been using these pads for years on both of my horses. I will never go back to acrylic or neoprene again. This pad conforms to their bodies and keeps them dryer. No more sweat dripping from underneath the pad. I highly reccomend this wool pad!!

When I pulled my brand new blanket liner out of its bag, I was surprised to see lots of woody plant fibers scattered on the surface as well as embedded in the wool felt. "100%" wool it's not. I hope these aren't the "barbs" mentioned in the product description above. They felt more like thorns to my fingers -- so I painstakingly pulled them out -- to spare my horse the pain. I'm disappointed.
