I bought this bit for my barrel horse so I could work her in something comfortable. When I got this bit, it was very thick and more like something to train colts in, but the picture made it look alot thinner than it really is. When I put it on my horse, she didn't respond to it and when she got an attitude, it pulled right through her mouth! My mare has bad attitude sometimes and a hard mouth so this bit didn't work for her, but that doesn't mean it won't work for you.

This bit is very exceptional, especially for the price. I bought this bit and use it on my barrel mare for collection work, my only complaint is that the rings r smll so it is easy to pull through her mouth if she is havinga battle of the wills with m, s i have 2 put a curb srap on it, other tan that it works great

This bit really Bothers my barrel pony, and the sizing is too small. The price is ok, but just spend a little more money on a better bit.

I HATE THIS BIT, AND SO DOES MY PONY! I bought the 4 1/2 because that is the size of my pony's mouth, it is WAY TOO SMALL! Spend more on a bit that wont cause MOUTH SORES! The length was WAY to small and the rings would get jacked up when you pull the reins. The bit slides around in his mouth. DONT BOTHER!!

i use this for barrelson my little pony, andthe ring twists around and sort of bothers him. He's a pretty calm guy, so i dont know about the more spooky ones...but the price is good
