I bought this for my horse that cribs. The box says it gaurentees to stop cribbing and my filly was cribbing on in within 10 minutes. I gave it to my other horse, and she licked it once and ignored it.

We have a horse that cribs. He used to do it on the wood fence or any surface he could find. We do not believe in cribbing collars or other methods of preventing cribbing. All the newest research points to cribbing as a way to relieve pain, usually from ulcers. Most researchers say it is more harmful to prevent the cribbing than to let them continue. Anyway, I thought this toy would be great for him. We bought it and put it up in his run in shed and he ignored it. A YEAR later he suddenly discovered it and has used it ever since. He never cribs on any other surface anymore. He has worn it out so we are getting him a new one.

My horse didnt care, or notice it at all. I put molasses on it, which he licked off, but never touched the thing again.
