I have had these spurs for 15+ years. Same pair was everyday riding along with shows. The nylon spur band is still in tact, and the spur it self has only recently started to show some year (spurs are 15 or so years old mind you.) Eventually new pairs of Prince of Wales, very soon.

I have owned these spurs of over 3 years and they are still going strong. Even the spur straps are good (albeit a little frayed from use). These spurs are still silver (no chipping) and are just enough spur to get a slow-moving or stubborn horse to listen to your cues. I have a slow walking APHA gelding that sometimes needs to step on the gas, and other spurs are too much for him. These spurs are just enough to get him to listen, without causing him harm. The only thing I don't like about these spurs is that you HAVE to be careful with direct contact, as they ARE blunt and sharp if you jab. I made the mistake of crossing my legs one day and gave myself a nice bruise from this spur!! Human error! Otherwise, LOVE these spurs.

Yes, only painted silver. They are very nice. $5 for these spurs are great. I will be using these only for training, so the color of the spurs doesnt really matter, however, they are goldencopperish under the paint ... Great buy for me. No problems with the straps. Good n sturdy.

I love these spurs! They clean very easly. They are very good for the price I was preparing myself for something that would fall apart in a week, ive had mine for 23 weeks now and they still look brand new! if your looking for a good pair of spurs for practice then I think you should get these for sure. I even used my in a show and the judges said that they looked nice, asked how much the were, and then were dumbfound when I told them they were only $5!
