I used it a couple of times and the metal cracked at the handle. Not worth the extra money.

I just received this on 6/21/11. I attempted to punch a few holes in my western stirrup leathers. The metal tension piece in the middle of the handles broke on the second try. What a huge piece of junk! I would not recommend purchasing this at all.

the head doesn't bend like the cheap ones. works well. harder to use with dried out hard leather than with supple leather but still works for both. mine has lasted 6 years of punching new holes in stirrup leathers for various students in both english and wester saddles. i wish it had a bigger punch size for the western ones but it still works by punching several in the same spot

i ordered this leather punch thinking that the "professional" one would be the better quality...after punching 2 holes in a western bridle it broke at the handle. would NOT recommend this product to anyone
