Can you use this boot while riding? Looking for protection if my horse trips on trail.
A shopper on May 18, 2015
Best Answer: NOpe! Don't even try. With movement, even walking around, they are likely to slip down. The way I keep them on in the pasture is to use duct tape at the top and bottom. Even a very sedentary horse is going to move around the pasture and look at the design of the boot: wider at the top and narrow at the bottom out of necessity. Now think about gravity and you can see what is going to happen. BTW, if you have a horse that trips and falls on its knees while you are out riding, you have a bigger problem and you shouldn't be out riding it. Sue

Do the knee boots stay in place? My horse will be turned out wearing them.
A shopper on Apr 26, 2015
Best Answer: Yes they have a strap above the knee and one below it so you can get a nice fit. I bought a pair of these for my mare who got a bad cut on her knee that we could not keep a bandage on, and these knee boots worked awesome for keeping her knee covered while the cut healed.
