I purchased these boots after my TWH hyper extended a tendon in her rear fetlock. She walked really funny after I put them on her. She high stepped and stood funny, but after some groundwork she was fine with the boots. She even did well while being ridden with the boots on. They can be used for front or back legs and are really easy to put on. I have never used boots before and I had no issues getting these on right the first try. They are for exercise and riding only, and not to be used as a full time boot. You will need to hose off your horse's legs after you remove the boot to cool their legs. Very happy with this purchase.

These are perfect for any high impact sport! I use them for jumping, cross-country, barrels/poles even riding dressage I can tell a difference! My horse is never sore, never has an off landing/spin in these :) They keep out more dirt then the smb2 but are harder to wrap due to the 2 layers of fabric instead of one(like the twos, I like that design better) Other than that, the contured shape is much more sleak on the leg then smb2, not as bulky. Over all I love these but prefer my smb2 if they werent so thick( i think ill have to try the elites)

fits perfectly. forms to their joints within the first ride. great for anything from light protection to heavy riding protection. easy to put on and take off. able to put lots of wear and tear on them, and they sustain protection and color. my white pair have maintained color in all kinds of colored dirt and arenas and trails. anything from red clay to brown sand and mud. they wash easily. no soap needed so far, just a good rinse. they take about a full day to completely dry though. i have used these from starting and training horses to heavy riding and competing. they offer the best support of any boot i have used while not hindering any movement at all in the joint, hoof or leg and even have helped to correct minor lower leg issues, like stumbling, tripping and over-reaching. shipping was amazingly fast.

After we bought our 6 year old barrel horse, she came up with bad tendons from too much exercise on bad shoeing, but now, we havn't had near the problems with her tendons after putting these on her.

I LOVE THESE BOOTS!!!! I groom for polo and I use these for the practices. They are great!! fast and easy to put on! which is very helpful when your dealing with polo ponies. Also it protects the horse great! and lasts very long! One of the mares likes to kick at you quite often but these are such a breeze to put on I don't worry about being kicked. They protect, look great, and last forever! defenetly recommend!

I love these boots and they work great to protect my Peruvian Paso's tendons. I live in a extreme part of the country and do a lot of trail riding. I forgot his boots one time on a really hard ride and popped a splint on both front legs as a result of forgetting his boots. The only thing that I would like to find in addition to this is something that would reflect grass seeds. We have nasty wild grasses with seeds that burrow into the fabric and are very hard to get out of the boots because they work their way into the fabric. I use white boots because my horse has big white stockings and they wash up nice and one pair usually last the entire season. I think most horses will benefit from these boots and I try to never go out without them. If you horse is gaited they do not affect movement in any way.

If you have trouble with polo wrapping like I do, then these SMB boots are for you. I have a pair of purple front and back. I use them for Hunter Jumper training, and my friend uses them for western. They are easy to apply and work great. The only doubt about these is that when they get muddy, and you wash them, it takes a while for them to dry.
