Product Summary:

Quest®  20 mg Moxidectin Single Dose Gel Wormer
by Zoetis, formerly Pfizer

Quest® Gel Moxidectin provides horse owners worldwide with effective control against a broad spectrum of internal parasites, including bots. Quest® delays reappearance of strongyle eggs for 84 days, permits parasite and bot control with only four treatments per year, is the only dewormer that kills small strongyles in the encysted state with a single dose, and is formulated as an easy-to-use, clear gel that offers less mess and less stress on horses and their owners.
This product should be given to foals, ponies, and miniature horses with caution because overdose can lead to serious reactions. Please consult your veterinarian for assistance in the diagnosis, treatment and control of parasitism.

Product Reviews by Customers

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Careful use gives great results Please do not use this dewormer on horses that have not been treated for a long time! I have used this product (carefully!) for over 10 years. Other reviewers are spot-on about deworming 1 month before with Ivermectin. I use it for horses that show signs of worms even though they have been on a program or new horses after using the Ivermectin 1 month before first! The first time I used it years ago on a horse with unknown deworming history, she had a major allergic reaction to the worm die-off and had to have the vet out to save her. Also this product has very little leeway for mis-dosing so weigh your horse and use the correct amount. I use it in the morning when I'm going to be home just in case. Very effective - don't be afraid to use it on horses already on a deworming program. They don't like the taste at all but it melts quickly. March 29, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Quest Gel Horses had serious reaction to this product. Took months to recover. Will never use this product again. Would strongly advise against use of this product. January 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Don't use anything else After attending a seminar by Fort Dodge about this product and how it really works & compares to other wormers I decided to stay with this one & it has paid off. I have been using it for 12 years. September 22, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Horrid, I would never use this again. Please don't use this product!! It gave my horse founder. He almost died, but he pulled through. Don't use this unless you WANT your horse to become sick. Horrible product. July 16, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Still a risk This product was used on our small herd of FResians. My retired gelding went blind. He was dosed right. The young stock had no negative reaction. we do not use it anymore. June 19, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quest This is the only product that I can use for a couple of my hard to worm mares. I just take a small pail of grain and this gel coats the grain. The mares eat every crumb. February 19, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best wormer The only reason anyone would have a problem with this wormer is from not following instructions. This is not generic Ivermectin and if you do not read and follow instructions you may in rare cases have a very mild at the worst reaction. Excellent product. One problem some owners have with this wormer is the large die off of worms because it is so effective, hit them first with some generic ivermectin wait 4 weeks and worm them with Quest. Great product. January 6, 2011
