I bought the brown pad and it is a very pretty dark chocolate brown. It does lock you in place and makes you feel more secure. The only complaint I have on it is that the handle is already coming undone after just one use. I had to grab it only one time when my horse decided to take off a bit faster than I was prepared for. Other than that, I think it is a good pad and a good price.

LOVE this pad! I have a Tennessee Walker that is super comfortable to ride and was looking for a bareback pad to use instead of a saddle for shorter rides. This one fits perfect and even the girth fits good. It did slide back some when I took it out on a 2 hour trail ride, but didn't take but a minute to undo the girth and put it back in place. Great product and great price!

I really like this pad, you stick like velcro. Being an older rider this pad made me feel safe and helped my balance a lot. The ability to use your own cinch is also a plus. I used my tacky cinch because my horse likes his own cinch. The cinch that came with the pad was nice, just not the kind my horse is used to. I looked at a lot of pads at my barn, and elseware and found this one to be far better. The materials used and the construction of this pad are really durable and feel great. The price was well worth what I paid and being made in the U.S.A also made me very happy to see. My horse has tried other pads and he was Ok with them, but today I knew he liked this pad due to the long ride we had, and we were both comfortable. I would buy this pad again, and I know the other ladies at the barn are very interested in owning their own. Thank you for making a GREAT product.

I asked for this for my birthday a few years ago and I love it! I still have it and it has no rips or tears! It doesn't slip at all and the girth is really nice... comes with a fleece one. It's really comfy. ;) I like using it in the summer for a quick tack up when I don't want to get my butt hairy and sweaty.

Great bareback pad, fits any horse I put it on, only downside is the girth, so I use my own, makes bareback a lot more comfy! Another added bonus is it does not slide around at all on your horses back.

I've tried a couple of natural horseman pads and this one is as close as it gets. My horse loves it, as do I. When you're on it, you stick to it. I use my saddle cinch. The one that came with it was kind of cheezy.

I love this pad in every way; it never slips and it grips to clothing. One problem where the nylon is, is where you grip with your thighs which resulted in bad chafting in my legs! (Not very comfortable on the thighs!)

This product is wonderful in many ways. One of then not being price. When you ride bareback the horses spine makes it difficult and with this it feels like a cloud. It also simplifies mounting. I have knee problems and it makes it a lot easier. You stay on easier and lime goes great on a red roan so it all works out. I would recemend this to anybody!

My gelding is a huge mover who hates the whole bareback notion, so Ive been on a search for a reasonable bareback saddle. A friend of mine who trail rides bareback has one and lent it to me until I was caught! This is the best bareback pad for the cost and my horse will tolerate better than the 4 others Ive tried!

This is a very comfortable, well made, grippy bareback pad. No slipping of the pad and very grippy for rider. I did use my own cinch but was not done up snug due to horses dislike of being girthed snug. Even w a good Arab spook this pad stayed in place as did the rider. Love the contoured design... not bunching! Great shade of orange too. Would buy this bareback pad again if need be.
