I bought this pad in black for my reddish bay mare to be used underneath my very thin bareback pad. Even when I used a thick barrel pad and an equally thick bareback pad, I get a blister on my tail bone after an hour of bareback riding. I was expecting a smaller pad and thought about retuning it, but it turned out that this saddle pad was so good that it literally made my bareback riding far more comfortable than using my $5000 English saddle. It is also well-made and easy to clean (just wipe it with damp cloth). My helper accidentally sprayed my mare’s shoulders and back with body shine spray right before I rode her, but the pad didn’t slip at all. And most importantly, my horse stayed cool and comfortable the whole time. I am considering buying another one in cuter colors, like red and pink. Totally worth your money.

I bought this saddle pad in pink for my high- and narrow-withered 4-year-old mare. I've only used it a few times so far, but from those times, I'm very pleased with my purchase. The color is very bright (hot pink) and has a pretty, minimal sheen to it. The tacky bottom keeps my horses cool, which is important in 100+ weather; my other neoprene pad makes my horses sweat up a storm. It gathers hair, but it should be easy to wash off (haven't tried). I liked this pad so much that I bought a second (square skirt model to fit my square-skirt saddle) in blue. The rope halter that comes with the pad is a great addition (the one I got is purple). I would prefer the price to be around $75-80, but with the free halter and results I've had so far, I'm content. Btw, the 30" measurement is front to back while the 34" is the part that goes over the back of the horse to the bottom of the other side.

This saddle pad is great (I got in on sale). Very pretty color (got it in red) My horse looks very good in it (She is a cherry bay). It fits really well with saddles that have a little bit of a round skirt. It does absorb sweat really well, and is great padding for my horses back. It also fits high withered horses great too. Very easy to put on, Just put it on their back, and it goes over my horses spine easily, no annoying positioning, or getting cricked. You also don't need another saddle pad with it, But if your a bigger rider, it would be better if you did. I weigh 120Lbs, 15 years old. The reason why I put 4 stars was because As soon as I got it, I ripped the tag off, and a piece of plastic got stuck in the bottom of the pad, and it tore. But I fixed it, just tucked it under (because It will not come out without tearing up my saddle pad)So I would reccomend that when you get this pad, you don't rip off the tag like I did. I wasn't thinking. Also On the black part, It's made of some kind of felt material. And when I tighten the girth on my horse, It leaves a mark, and rubs off the felt it was put. But, It doesn't show, once you get it on the horse. Another thing (that isn't bad) When you put the saddle pad on the horse, it kinda flares out, but once you get the saddle on it goes down, and looks amazing. Guess It just needs to be broken into. But other than that, It's very nice, and I would recommend it to anyone. Hope this review helps. I covered everything I know about this pad, in the time that I have had it.

I bought this pad for my hard to fit Tenn Walker gelding, and it is great under my saddle! I love the extra padding in bar area, seems to really help him since I am a heavier rider, rode for an hour today over some hills and deep sand, and no back soreness a few hours later when I checked him. Pad keeps him cool and dry except for where it has constant contact with his shoulders and no air circulation, towards the bottom of the front flaps. Along his topline and the bar area, he's dry and comfortable! Highly recommend. Saddle does not slip nor does the pad.

Just got this pad today and i was very impressed with the overall quality of it as soon as i took it out of the box. I tried it on my quarter horse mare and it looks great, i got so many compliments on it, and it didn't slip at all when i was riding!! Great pad for the price! i would definitely recommend it to a friend. :)

My young mare has narrow withers and is extremely hard to fit. She gets a sore back easily and this pad has worked wonders. Have used 3 different saddles on her now with this pad - before the pad, sore back regardless of the saddle. With the pad she does not have a sore back. Competed on her this past weekend and she got her best times yet. We have 3 reinsmans pads and they are all made well and built to last but this pad has really helped our young mare. Would highly recommend this pad - light weight, fits great, she sweats evenly with no dry spots and best of all she is not sore.
