I have a high wither horse, she has needed a good, solid, comfortable pad, and a friend of mine had one in our horse barn.
They liked it, recommended it, so I gave it a try.
The cut out fits her high withers wonderfully. The pad does help with keeping sweat down, and I am sure, with the thickness and good fit, has to be more comfortable ( she isnt a complainer ).
I have had a good many hours on it, trail riding, practicing barrels, poles, etc. No real sign of wear, no stitch problems, and urging my wife to get one for her horse ( he has almost as high a wither ).
I didnt want a "sticky" or tacky underside, I have had clinic trainers say 100% wool is just the best for the horse to may times, so that was another reason.
I would buy this again. Price was a lil high, and of course now on sale, but still a value with other pads $20-40 higher and dont see a real difference.

My horse has a high wither, My saddle was actually for a horse slightly bigger than her, and I finally got around to getting a decent pad. I have heard from several trainers in clinics, that 100% wool felt, is the way to go.
I have to agree. Even when working out, she now sweats less under the saddle than before. I cant say she does, or doesnt enjoy it more, as she never was one to make a fuss anyway. But, her withers fit nicely into the cut out, and it sits so much better on her back.
I have only had a it a few weeks, but, I am already trying to get the wife to buy one of these for her horse, whom she is training a great deal.
Worth the money, probably a better deal than some of the pricier ones I have seen, which are fancier yes, but, not much better. Its a good thick pad, and one of my better decisions.

Bought two of these pads, have used them for four months, where the stirching goes across the withers has rubbed sores on horses and one of them has already come apart. I know Reinsman makes good products, but these were very disappointing. I since gone to Diamond wool pads, better pad, less money. Go figure.

This is a nice pad, but the picture is a misrepresentation of the product. The picture shows brindle hair leathers, but the actual product is plain dark color leathers.
