Product Summary:

RESCUE!® Fly Bag

The RESCUE!® Fly Bag catches flies in bulk and is simple to use. Use around the barn and other outdoor areas with heavy fly concentration.  Just add water and hang! When the trap is full simply take it down, close the yellow top and throw the entire trap in the garbage. This trap is baited for fly species which are most common in agricultural areas -- including house flies, false stable flies, blow flies, blue and green bottle flies, flesh flies, face flies and many others. The RESCUE!® Big Bag Fly Trap contains a fast-acting fly attractant that starts working as soon as you add water. Food and feed additives are combined with other dried ingredients to make the RESCUE!® attractant. Lured by the scent, flies enter through the yellow top cap and drown in the water.

  • Designed to handle outdoor areas with heavy fly concentrations
  • Powder attractant is contained within the trap itself
  • Attractant dissolves and activates quickly when water is added to the bag
  • Trap's design eliminates touching the bait or the flies
  • Completely disposable
  • Made in the U.S.A.
Small Bag:  holds approximately 20,000 flies
Large Bag:  holds approximately 40,000 flies

Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WORTH THE GAGGING ODOR We've used these bags for a number of years. Really must be in the sun. Seems that the odor is at a max when they really start to get full (flys & maggots...sorry for the maggot part). We place them in locations to take advantage of the prevailing wind to minimize the smell where we sit outside. August 9, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product These smelly traps work great for getting rid of flies. I have used them for about 4 years. These work the best of all I have tried. None of my horses bother them and if they are about 3 to 4 feet of the ground even my dogs leave them alone. They do smell but it is worth it to get rid of so many flies. Just wish there was one for the no-see-em nats. July 19, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent The only fly product I will use! Wish they sold them by the case. They do smell bad but hey they work so well I really don't care. Rather have a little bad smell than flys tormenting my horses all summer! December 26, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super but smelly job First I purchased the small size bags as a 'test' to see if they really worked like everyone says... I was shocked at the carnage! Then I ordered the large bag size. I never got used to the smell (think rotting meat) but was amazed how many flys crawled inside to die... they were literally lining up and fighting their way in. One drawback is the rotting meat smell also attracted meat wasps which most likely wouldn't have been around otherwise. The wasps also found their way into the trap, but also bothered my horses as well. These bags attract so many flys I'm not sure if it's counter productive in that they attract more than would normally be around without them..??? I'm going to order more for next season, but do my own little test to see if they attract more flys than normal. I also use these bags along w/ feed thru fly control. December 2, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by THEY STINK! These fly bags work, but they stink horribly - I use them because I've found no other way to get rid of flies - I just hate the gross stink I'm forced to smell all summer long. September 30, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Don't waste your money on other brands I am amazed at how well these work. The flies are crowding one on top of the other to get it. My son laughs at how I gleefully check my traps each day - chortling over the dead bodies. (It is kinda sick - but hey! we couldn't do anything with the horses during the day once the flies arrived). I have tried other brands and they sit EMPTY while RESCUE traps are overflowing... August 20, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Works Frightenly Well! The flies have gotten worse and worse each year so I decided to try these traps. I was amazed at how well they work - almost TOO well! Where did all these flies come from?! The bags fill up quickly and it's kind of creepy disposing of them, but they are really effective. I'm ordering more; wish they had a "bulk" purchase price. Rated 5 out of 5 by Best results if placed in direct sun I have used these bags for about four years. I placed them around our dog kennel, and outside our pasture fence. I am amazed at the amount of flys these things attract and catch. Use them in direct sunlight. I tried placing one inside a building containg chickens without much success. For me, sunlight was key. Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Product!! We have used this brand of fly bag for years and it works incredibly well. We watch with glee as the bag fills up and the flies wait outside for a chance to check in! Great way to collect adult flies. Our horses do not bother the bags at all. Only negative is taking them down. The lid should be able to lock in place. Our solution, is to put them in a bucket with a locking lid. Great product to use with any outdoor animals. Highly recommend. July 19, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rescue Fly Trap Bags Having used about 6-8 bags around the barn and pens last summer, the fly population is noticable less this summer. Also, some partially full bags survived the Winter where we left them hanging and after filling with water are working again this summer. I am buying more to keep flies at bay. May 30, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fast work I have six horses which take up one row of corrals on a ranch of 40+ horses and 20 head of breeding cattle and bulls. I hung one between 5 & 6, then went down and hung one between 1 & 2. Went back and the first one hung had several flys already trapped and plenty more buzzing round waiting to get the e ride ticket inside. I purchased 6 of these and it looks like I'm going to have to buy a lot more as these appear to work very quickly and we have plenty of flys to collect. Along with the fly masks I am content that my horses will be very well protected this season. April 16, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome fly traps!! These by far are the best fly traps! I've tried other brands and nothing compares to these. If your horse plays with the bag then move it to where they can't. I have a 'Dennis the Menace' horse and have at least 6 large bags hanging all summer and he never bothers them. March 18, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by best u can buy. I have used this product for 10yr and no flys. August 4, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Big bag ~~~ flies are gone! I have used Rescue Fly traps for several years. They work better than any other fly product I have tried. Currently I have three Big Bags hanging around my small acerage. Well, they work so well, and I shared some bags with impressed friends, so now I am ordering more! This is one product that really works. I am surprised more people don't know about it! July 13, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 Very OK in OK! We just live in a regular ol' neighborhood in OKC with no pets of our own, and have a terrible fly problem (maybe due to so many dogs around??) Anyways, we put 2 up in our backyard just 2 weeks ago, and they are filled! I'm waiting for my husband to get home with more--these are THE BEST. July 10, 2009

Rated 5 out of 5 By-by FLIES! I began using this product last year. The flies got so bad that we had to do something. This product is amazing! My horses don't even wear their fly masks anymore! Yes, they smell if you're down wind of them but THEY WORK! The best fly product I know of! IT REALLY WORKS!!! June 15, 2009

These work really well for me. The flies line up all over the bag and top to go down inside.

can this be hung near the floor of a barn?
A shopper on Jul 19, 2015
Best Answer: Of course you can hang it wherever you like. We hang them ALL OVER, including under tables in the barn, on paddock rails at eye level and on trees high and low. Once they capture a few flies they really stink - so don't hang them where you might like to hang out. The most effective spots seem to be up wind from where flies are worst (around the horses or near the manure pile).

how many large bags needed for residential home for 4 months?
A shopper on May 24, 2015
Best Answer: It is not recommended that you place them on or in your home; the smell is not pleasant. If you can place them far enough away from your home, that would be better. We have farm animals and use them in those areas. It also depends on how bad your fly problem is. If moderate, one bag per month would work. If really bad, you could feel a bag in a matter of days. They do work really well! Catch a ton of them and then easily dispose of them.
