I have a 3 year old thoroughbred who has destroyed lesser blankets in a week or less, and I have this in the sheet and the 220g fill and I love them. They fit well, don't rub, last, and look great. I live in western Washington and its ALWAYS wet, and my gelding stays dry and warm. They even dry quickly when he comes in. Theyre fabulous value for the price, and I will be buying more!

I've been buying Tough-1 blankets for a while, and just wasn't having much luck. Two of them were ripped apart, after only a month of having them! So I decided to go for a change, and bought this blanket. It fits my Arabian X Paint mare PERFECTLY. I've had it for about 4 months now, and there's not even one scratch in it, even though my horse lives with two other horses. I absolutely love it! It's the perfect weight and fill for the MN winter weather, and not too mention, it's VERY cute! Plus, it's a wonderful price. I would DEFINITELY recommend this product!!!

My Horse ad jumped the fence and Run to do a sharp turn. He fell n his side and slide almost 12 feel and there was little to no wear on the blanket and nothing on my horse!!!!

I bought a top rated Weatherbeeta last year for my Saddlebred gelding. Being rough on blankets, he had put holes in that immediately with his rough playing friends too after only a night of wearing it. I bought this blanket with all hope and good research -and he's had it on since early November. Not a hole in it-hardly even an scratch. My only wish was in advance in technology for the front clasps rather than buckles. He can tears those off like he did his last one, but alas, this blanket has been PERFECT! I'll keep buying Saxon!

A quality sheet for smaller horses!
I bought this for my 14.2hh mare who is narrow in the chest/shoulders and wider in the rear. She wears a 68" heavy blanket, so I ordered the 69", and it fits like a glove!
The 1200D feels tough, and has already withstood a couple tough rollings out in the field without shifting around.
I read other reviews that said that this blanket has a short drop, and agree. Don't buy this blanket if your horse is taller than 15hh, as their belly will be exposed. With my 14.2, it's just a hair below her belly.
The only thing is that the belly straps are a bit tough to hook/unhook. It came with the little rubber rings, so I'm thinking if I remove them, it'll be easier to hook without having it unhook itself during a roll.
Definitely satisfied with this blanket!!

I really rate this a 4.5 stars.
My horse was bitten pretty badly but blanket did NOT tear. My horse lost a bunch of fur underneath the blanket where he was bitten. He likes to play hard so this has kept him with his pasture mates. He lives outside 24/7 and we've had no problems with the quality so far.
The only issue I've had is the sizing. My QH measured almost an 80, so ordered the 81 and it's a little too big since the neck hole doesn't fit his body type.
I would definitely buy this again, but I might try the 78.

I gave this product 5stars in every category because it did exactly what I wanted, for a very reasonable price. My filthy 3yr old warmblood wore this blanket for something like 4months straight. It kept him clean and dry even though he likes to sleep in puddles. Besides being very dirty the blanket is in the same shape and when it arrived. It also fit well and he could easily run around in it.
Cons: It doesn't come in any "boy" colors. The t-closures are also a bit rusted after being wet all the time.
I just bought the winter version of this blanket and in the spring I will let everyone know how that one did.

I bought this almost a year ago for my 15.2 thoroughbred gelding. It caught my eye because it was plum colored and plum happens to be my horse's color. As is true for most Saxon blankets, the sides are not as long as I would like. Hint: If you have a very tall and/or big-bellied horse, I would probably choose a Weatherbeeta. I do like that the waterproofing has held up well and that the inside of the tail flap is coated with teflon, making manure very easy to brush off. Overall a good buy for the price.
