Rated 3 out of 5 by Suprisingly nice for the price I got this bridle a while ago at a tack sale. I wasn't expecting much, just a bridle to start my 4 year old mare in, but I was pleasently suprised! Of course, this is no show bridle, and I doubt it would hold up to loads of use, but the leather is fairly soft, and it looks decent when it's on my horse. Would be nice for trail ridding or something that you don't want a good bridle for. (The keeper's are useless though) April 3, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by okay I found the throatlatch to be VERY long, its a tad big, on the last hole. The "leather" is very cheap and stiff. Overall it serves your purpose, I use it everyday and it hasn't broken. My horse likes it though! January 22, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice bridle :) Great quality for the price. Soft, supple leather, just have to be careful when oiling the first couple times as some dye comes off. All in all very worth it for the price, wont last you years but stands up exellent to every day wear! January 18, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Okay for occasional use The bridle actually looks really nice, I love the raised leather detail. The reins are terrible, as to be expected, I recommend spending another $15(!) on the matching rubber grip reins. All in all, the leather is stiff at first, which, again, is to be expected, but the bigger problem is how floppy it gets later because of the thin quality leather. Anyway, fine for a couple of days a week, but won't hold up more than a few months of daily use. You get what you pay for! November 25, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by very nice bridle This bridle is great! It fits my warmblood and welsh pony great. Both the pony and oversized are great.I bet all the sizes are great. It does not matter about the plastic because it holds. May 15, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pretty Good Bridle Overall, I'm pretty happy with this bridle. I got a cob size for my 14.1 hand POA and it fit him pretty well. The only complaint I have is that the reins are not 100% leather, the lacing is plastic unlike in the picture. Other than that I can't complain and its a pretty good schooling bridle. April 11, 2011

Does the stiffness go away?
A shopper on Oct 23, 2015
Best Answer: As I recall the bridle was pretty supple out of the box. I never did use it much. I wanted to try an English style but, ended up staying with Western.
