These are great for the price but after having two pairs for a few months they have chafed quite a bit. Good as a backup, not as a long term investment.

Perfect, they're very nice, the hardware is amazing. I don't know what people meant when they said a horrid "smell" I just smelled leather and I personally love the smell of leather. They're very durable.

I was looking for a decent quality, inexpensive pair of stirrup leathers and thought these were it. These leathers smelled so horribly AWFUL when I opened the package that I could not stand it. To make it worse, the smell stayed on my hands. The smells of these are horrible. I couldn't stand it to even try to let them air out that I sent them back. I will definitely spend a little more to hopefully avoid such an awful smell. I would pass on these.

These are excellent inexpensive schooling leathers. The only problem is that when I got mine, they're black, and took them out of the package something similar to black boot polish rubbed off on my hands (hence the 4 stars in quality), so clean them well before you ride, unless you like marks on your pants, otherwise I love them. Also there is a smell when you open the package, but it's just a very strong smell of new leather, but I would say if you need something that doesn't need to be top of the line but is still strong, go with Silver Fox's Leathers.

This product is fairly nice for the price and Im quite impressed with its quality. However when I opened the package they came in I was met with a rather unpleasant smell. My suggestion is when opening package, hold far from your nose:)And you might want to hang the leathers in the far corner of the tack room for a week or two:)
