I purchased one from a Feed store I was working at 5 years ago and was dissapointed when I moved because I couldn't find them anywhere else for my other dogs! I love this leash! No more worrying about the collar coming off, dealing with multiple collars and its soft enough for puppies to learn with. These are always avalible to grab when needed and the dogs love them!!! They are always willing to put them on!

I got the 6-foot purple one, and I couldn't be happier with it! Easily adjusted, and I love the leather pieces! It's a leash that's both functional and very good looking. My dogs love it, and there's no hassle of getting them to sit still while trying to clip the leash. I'll be buying two more and saying goodbye to collars. I highly reccomend this for all breeds, especially heavy pullers like mine(it's very soft and doesn't hurt my hands!)

These are the only leashes I use. They are fantastic for making sure a dog doesn't slip his/her collar and escape. I've used them for years and will never go back to a regular collar and leash.

I just got these last night in the mail... they are so nice!!! The colors are bright, I didnt go crazy and I got the blue and the green BUT they're so vivid... pictures don't do them justice. The leather parts are sturdy especially the stopper, I tried adjusting it last night and I definitely had to put effort into it. I still have to see how my bully will take it, but I'm sure he wont mind. Also, get the 6ft one, it's just the right length, I think 4ft would be too short, its more like a traffic lead. I got the 6ft ones.

I just received these from dog.com & I love them!! I live in an apartment so am taking my pugs outside a few times a day. Before these came, the dogs were wearing their collars 24/7 so I could just clip the leashes to them but the collars have been rubbing all their fur off on their necks and leaving it raw. I was very pleased when I saw these. The leash is about 1/2 thick braided & the leather parts seem very well constructed. I bought the 6ft leash & its still the perfect length to walk them once its looped around their necks. The colors are really nice as well. I bought the hot pink, raspberry & purple.

I bought this in the 6 ft length with skepticism thinking it might be too thin and that the leather reinforcements might not be sewn securely. What I received was a 1/2 inch thick, was reinforced well and the slide adjustment/stop for the neck is tight enough on the cord to stay in place. Just remember that this type of leash/collar should be put on to look like an upside down P when looking down at your dog and what you subtract of your dog's neck measurment plus 2-3 inches is what you're left with in leash length. That being said, the four foot length would be more of a traffic lead once it was on a med to large dog's neck. The reason I didn't give it four stars is personal. My dogs and I are used to the martingale nylon collars with the chain and we use the "clink" of the chain as a prompt. This leash collar combo is very light in weight and did not appeal too much to me, but it is strong and well made. I would definitely have used it for puppy leash training since it would have been adjustable as they grew.

I obtain leashes for the volunteer dog walkers at a local county shelter. We ask that they obtain their own leashes so cost is an important consideration. This style of leash is by far the easiest to use on a wide variety of dogs. These particular leashes are a great value since I have seen the same leash for much more money. The service in getting the leashes quickly was very good. Outstanding product for the money.

I keep these in my car for transporting rescue dogs. I never have to worry about getting a collar to fit, or a dog slipping out of a flat collar. I have to keep a close eye on the other volunteers, they all want my leashes.

We use these type of leashes (we have asorted brands)at a no-kill shelter I volunteer at and they're amazing! It's so easy to get on the dogs, especially the high strung ones that won't sit long enough for a collar or harness to be put on! And there's no adjusting needed, which again is good for the high energy dogs that won't tolerate it. It also quickly teaches dogs to walk well because of the choke style of it. I recommend this leash to EVERYONE with a dog!

i am an animal control officer, in my 17th year of service. i have used these leads for the last 8 years. they are great! they work with any size,temperment,or breed of dog and are safe, strong and humane.great product. the one i reach for everytime!

Ive worked with MANY dogs of ALL sizes in a kennel before and recently adopted a pit bull. So, I have just purchased 2 6 leads. I have had A Lot of experience with slip leads the ones used in the kennel were not as nice and thick as these right here and even with the cheap version of these in the kennel....I find that these are the ONLY way to go for dog handling. You have Much More control than any other collarleash combo Ive used....lol...and I have even used slip leads on Mastiffs and would not use any thing other than a slip lead. Come to find out, this type of lead is the #1 choice for dog handlers in the AKC....go figure....wonder why more people dont use them Good Luck All :

I love these style leads and I was pleased to find one for this price! However, the cord is not 12 inch. I was surprised when it arrived so I put it on a ruler and its actually closer to 14 inch than 12.

I volunteer at the local county shelter, we are supplied with the waxy rope slip leashes that tear up you hands. I cannot tell you how many volunteers and kennel attendents have commented on how much they love these new leashes. This is my second order!

This wont slip off your dog. Great for potty breaks or longer waks. I am thrilled with this slip lead and am ordering another one. Be sure to get the 6 foot length.

This type of leash is preferable to me over the leather ones because it never seems to flop around and get stuck under the dogs legs. It also does a better job of guiding the dog around. It is comfortable in your hand and because it is nylon rather than leather, the dogs dont want to chew it. Definitely a great product, but not available in any of my local big chain pet stores.

A volunteer at the kennel supplied these leashes to us. These leashes are the BEST for kennel dogs. I also use it for my dogs at home! Especially great for dogs who are known to slip out of their collars. Comfortable to hold.

These leashes are great for use in shelters for volunteers. Easy to loop, and able to draw tightly around the neck without fear of a shy or nervous dog escaping! The wrist loop is a bit large, but overall these are a great value!
