Rated 5 out of 5 by Sweet Iron Mouth Hey Ya'll, sweet iron mouths are SUPPOSED to rust, its part of what makes them sweet and appealing to a horse. I'm ordering mine now. I like the leverage ratio with a hinge bit, looks like a good made roller. July 12, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Hurts horses mouth I would never suggest getting this bit. It pinches and tears of the top layer of skin at the corner of my horses mouth. May 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by LOVE This Bit I just moved my fairly green reiner to this bit from a Jr. Cowhorse and he LOVES it! Takes it much easier than the JCH or his smooth mouth snaffle. The independent side action is great when I need to correct him while schooling. Overall, a great transition bit from a hinged, snaffle-type mouthpiece to a solid one IMO. Only complaint is a small amount of rust, but nothing major and it doesn't seem to affect the functionality of the bit. March 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this bit!! I have tried everything on my MFT, and this is the first time he really settled and moved out great. He responded so well, I tried it on my QH mare who I ride in a hack...great response! My 3 year-old grandchild rides her and has much better control with this bit. Also great for turning and bending because the bit is hinged under the roller so each shank moves independently. That part was a pleasant surprise. No rust yet, but I've only had it a week. I did read in other reviews that it may rust. Overall I think this is a great bit and certainly worth the price...just keep it clean and dry to avoid the rust...:) March 14, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by works really well love the broken mouth n not a solid curb. works great for rope horses or any horse that still needs a little work December 16, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not to bad I purchased this but because it had a port and the sides move. I seem to get a good response from my mare with it but it some times pinches her so I had to put bit guards on it. Other than that its great. Although, it started to rust almost right away. That is probably the biggest annoyance for me. October 29, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great bit! This bit is great, I get very good response out of my mare and I barely have to pick up on the reins. My mare loves this bit with the copper roller, sweet iron, and inlays. September 17, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Best Bit I Ever Bought I really like the way my mare goes in this bit. The only thing I dont like is that it started to rust with in the first month. April 19, 2010
