Rated 5 out of 5 by Great gear!!!!! I have used this on a free running barrel horse that needed a break from a heavy handed rider. You have the control, flex and bend that is necessary to work through a pattern at any speed. Can really help calm a nervous horse who needs a break from a bit.... March 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent hack A gelding I bought years ago came with one of these, and it sat on a shelf for years because I never used it. Then I bought a mare who wouldn't take a bit, and I'm as happy as ever. Takes very little pressure for response, and lasts FOREVER. Had mine for about 8yrs and sent it with the last horse I sold (thought about getting out of horses), but recently re-purchased the said mare who won't take a bit, and I'm buying another! Rated 5 out of 5 by EXCELLENT PRODUCT!! I bought this a few months ago for my 2 yr old horse. He is so soft-mouthed that we decided to try the stop n turn, and it works amazingly well! He seems to like it also, as he doesn't fuss like he does with a bit in his mouth. I will say, it's definitely not for an inexperienced rider, because it takes VERY little pressure to stop and turn the horse; I can easily turn mine with the pressure from my pinky finger on the rein. Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT PIECE OF EQUIPMENT! My horse does not like having a bit in his mouth, but needs help with collection, & his whoa. This "bit" does wonders for him! He has an awesome stop to him & it takes VERY LITTLE pressure to stop him. I would recommend this to anyone that doesnt want to use a bit. December 6, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Experienced riders only!!! I bought this as a correction piece. Please only buy this if you are very experenced and know exactly how light your hand needs to be. This is a VERY severe hackamore and can cause a lot of damage and pain if used improperly!!! It does work extremely well under ther right circumstances though. I do love mine, but am very careful with it's use. June 27, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by I have this hackamore This hackamore is awesome. My horse responds to it really well.I bought this hackamore a couple of years ago and it works wonders. My horse isn't having a fit anymore and i think he likes it as well. I would tell people to get this. I like it and hopefully someone else will to. April 7, 2010
