Rated 2 out of 5 by Jeanne Too Many sharp edges
I purchased one of these feeders and thought I would be purchasing more but after having it put together I was worried that my yearling Morgan/Friesian would get hurt on the sharp edges. I have tried to figure out a way to build a box or something around it. I would suggest to the mfg that they round the edges of this metal feeder to lessen the chances of injury. Those of us who have had horses for many years know that if there is a way to get hurt they most likely will!

This does slow the feeding down but I wish the grate on top was smaller still, slowing down the feeding even more. It holds two big flakes and my hungry mare has yet to break it trying to get her feed out as quick as possible. I will buy another one! Company needs to ensure the stock boxes these come in are re-boxed for shipping. It was missing parts also and it took several weeks to get everything and put it together and installed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Shcas9 Terrible product for horses
This product is terrible. Entirely too small for horses, the construction is poor and not worth the price at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kathy Flanigan Needs beefing up.
I like that it slows the horses down and is quick to feed the horses with the grazer.
We added diamond plate to the front because my horse struck the front to shake out the small pieces that got stuck in the frame. Also it needs guides for the plate to stay on track better. We hung it on Noble feeder doors by hanging the doors upside down. Then bolting the grazers on the feeder doors. Makes it easy to clean under them, but the horses can not get their feet or heads under it at the level we hung them. The feeder doors swing in for easy loading. Swing back in place. Are secured and they are fed. I could send pictures if you give me your e-mail. My husband is very innovative with building and fixing things.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cricket27 Love It!!!
Best feeder for horses we have found--we've tried everything. Slows our speed eater down, eliminates waste and keeps their water trough clean (no more hay tossed in the water). Slight drawback is the build-up of fine hay when mounted on the floor. Once blocked and mounted off the floor less build-up and cleaning was much easier. On my way to ordering more of these. Great product!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by waplama small but effective
This was much smaller than I expected--only holds about 3 flakes when shoved totally full. I use it with my goats and it has been great, but with a horse I would worry about them stepping in it and getting stuck, and it's too heavy to hang higher.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Structuregirl Works for me!
Overall, this thing is great! I ordered two and put them in my thoroughbreds' stalls to slow down their eating and reduce their boredom. Works great! My big mare DID managed to pull the grate off a couple of times, but I got longer bolts to keep in in place, which solved the problem.
My only complaint is that the hardware to put the grazer together was not bagged, so some pieces were missing when it arrived due to a hole in the box.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Barbara Hay Grazer
I have had the Grazer now for almost 10 years and just love it, and so do my horses. I now own 4 grazers for each of my boys. Two of them have been kept outdoors in the paddock and they are still functioning really well. Had to replace one grate on one grazer as the pin mechanism is weak. The grazers do need to be cleaned weekly as hay dust will clog the mesh and will prevent the springs from lifting the hay. Less waste of hay, less mess.
