The Scratcher

Designed to give maximum itch relief without the worry of potential injuries. Whether it’s insect bites, boredom or shedding a winter coat, your horse will seek relief from his itch wherever he can get it! Simply install on any vertical surface and watch your horse love the feeling he gets from rubbing either up and down or back and forth.
Features a no-pull surface that will not tear at your horse’s mane and tail. For stalled horses, it has the added bonus of affording your horse relief from boredom and stress which often result in wind sucking, cribbing and anti-social behavior.
Use indoors or outdoors. Includes stainless steel mounting hardware. Won’t crack or rot with seasonal weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Favorite Spot! My horse ignored his at first, but I found the key was to put it where you see them scratch now. Once they get introduced to it, it does become their "go to favorite spot". It does say to put it around an 8 inch diameter post and not a 6 inch one if your are wrapping it on a curved surface. It won't crack if you are following the instructions. September 7, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Instructions needed! Seriously, maybe my horse needs lessons. She didn't so much as sniff this thing. It's a plastic rectangle, too stiff to bend. I don't know why I haven't sent it back. July 9, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love it!! My horse loves to scratch his butt on his stall door and since he's a big boy he kept making his door come off the hinges! We got this product just to see if he would use this instead of his door and he did(: The only problem is that it's really small and we had to buy 3 just for him! But other then that it works really well February 28, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic! This is a great product. It's made really well and I think the price is very reasonable. My horses took to the Scratcher really quickly and use them daily! I LOVE this product and would recommend it to all of my friends and family. October 18, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by 5 Starts All the Way Around The product quality is amazing and you can't beat the price. My horses love the Scratcher. I'm ordering more. I was skeptical of the product at first, but I'm a total believer now. Try it out. You won't regret it!! October 18, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Equine scratcher My husband laughed at this product when he installed it at the barn. He said the horses would never use it. As soon as he put it up, my big horse went over and started rubbing the side of his face on the scratcher. I got this because of the sores and cuts the horses were getting from rubbing on other objects. I will buy a few more. August 22, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worthless junk Over priced, very small, cracked when I put it on a round 6 inch diameter post. Horses don't use it. August 4, 2011

Why did you choose this? Store
My percheron loves to rub on stuff. I figured this would help with the shedding in the spring. The funniest part is to watch her rub her forehead and poll on it. She gets the funkiest hairdo after that.

Every night my horse scratches against his water bucket. There is water everywhere, and tail hair on the hook. I wanted to give him a better safer choice. Time will tell if he will use it. I bought a second scratcher for outside.

I chose this because my horse is itching herself on everything and she has injured herself on some of the things she itches on so I wanted a safe alternative for her to scratch herself on.
