Purchased two of these for my Quarter Horse mares in November. They have been on the horses since then and are in great shape, no rips or tears. My horses are outside with a run-in, no trees. Great blanket for the price.

I had a 15.3hh,QH,no shelter, I bought him the Tough-1 1200 Denier, then found him the matching neck cover. He wore it day & night, Dec.-mid Feb. 2011. Kept him warm, dry, comfortable, winter of 2010-11. Was great, no tears, perfect shape. Then for my Arab I bought this one w/the high neck, fit him perfectly, warm & dry. Really like the front closure, not only buckles, but velcro also. I tightened it up snug, no leakage of water due to the high wither & neck cover. Wish I could find a neck cover to match. Like I had for the QH. Do not like or trust the cover they show now for the Tough-1 blankets. Really love the hi neck cover. Seems to make a big difference, especially on a smaller built horse. I bought this blanket for my Arab Oct. 2012. I would recommend it to others.

This is a great blanket. I purchased this for my older horse, 29. He is riddled with arthritis and I wanted something to cover his neck higher without using a hood. I was impressed when it came. Not only did it fit his stocky QH body well, it has some extras I really like. Deep sides to cover the belly, generous gussets for wide shoulders and what I love most are the buckles in the front. I can adjust the fit and then when the barn staff put the blanket on in the evening it has already been sized, just put it on and it's good. I also love that this blanket keeps my old guy as warm as my heavy duty blankets because it cover more body mass so don't need to blanket heavier. I think for the price this is a great blanket, but I will wait for a sale to purchase a second one for my other horse.

Very happy with this blanket so far. It is light, very warm and comfortable on my horse. Deep sides keep out drafts. Front buckles are a bit high. I would not expect it to last for years, but for the price I can buy new ones every few seasons.

I loved the fit and style of this heavy balnket, but after only 5 wears, the stitching at the back of the blanket came loose and seperated from the blanket. This occured on the bottom allowing the blanket to seperate so that all 3 layers were exposed. This caused the cotton stuffing and the thin interior lining to be caught or snagged and get torn out.
