I bought this blanket for my 24 year-old gelding. I have had it for about a month and have had to re-sew part of the binding that came loose, then another part of the binding came off, and before I could get that sewn back on, the blanket ended up in shreds after becoming twisted while my horse was outside. I don't know how that happened, but it spooked him and he started freaking out. That's when the blanket started coming completely apart in about 3 places.

I bought this blanket for my new 4 year old quarter horse. He lives in a corral with shelter. This blanket lasted almost the entire 4 month winter...being worn by a a rough and playful 4 year old! It has a few tears in it, but nothing bigger than a few inches. I will definitely be able to repair them and reuse this blanket next year. My horse loved how roomy it was, he could gallop and canter without the blanket inhibiting movement. Easy to put on a take off. Cleans up nicely in the washing machine. This blanket is not completely waterproof, but it will keep your horse from getting wet if it is foggy/sprinkling/drizzling outside.

I absolutely love this stable blanket!!! The front clip closures make putting on/ taking off a breeze, and I never worry about them coming unbuckled or messed up. The belly wrap is a great extra feature... sometimes the velro gets full of shavings, but they are easily brushed off. I love the two sets of gussets (front and back) - they really give my horse a ton of freedom. The way the rear end of the blanket is tailored is perfect... and I like the way the leg straps are positioned. Even though it doesn't have fleece at the whitheres, it's not a problem because it's a cut-back style... which is really nice because it doesn't put preasure on the whithers. It's smooth nylon on the inside, but the outside is tough (hense the brand name ;) and durable for stable wear... I'm not sure how well it would hold up if used on turnout, but for what it's made for, it does a FANTASTIC job!!! Now that they are on sale, I will totally be buying an other!!

I like it so far, it fits great on my horse. This being my first blanket, I was very happy at how easy it was to put on. The only thing that made me wary was the tummy straps, they were a little tight almost like a cinch. I will be buying more for my other horses. :)

I really like the style of this blanket..stays in place when my horse lays down and very warm for her...One down fall to owning this blanket, the velcroe straps wont stay connected...to make it work, I had to have sewn on two buckle snaps at the end of the belly strap and attach it to two connectors at the top seam of the blanket. It works really great now..my horse loves it

I love the neck closures where my previous blankets went over the head and would sometimes bother my horses if untrained people were throwing it on. I do wish that the surcingle clasps were larger as there are 4 to do and undo with each blanket making my thumb very sore trying to apply enough pressure to open them all.

My horse lives inside a stall during the winter and is turned out daily. I have used this blanket less than 30 days and it ripped on the inside from a seem. I was disappointed however very pleased with the site for helping me to return it. I will not be considering another Tough-1.

These fit great! I've had mine for 2 winters now and they are still in good shape. I wash them once a week too, and still holding up!
