Rated 5 out of 5 by We love it! My 4 year old granddaughter, Patches, our horse, and I just love our new tandem saddle seat. She can now ride comfortably with me and safer too. I think that it's a quality product. Thanks! May 2, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by My son loves it! I have a 7 year old son that weight 45 lbs, and is tall for his age. He loves this. It's great with the stirrups, and the small cantle in the front has a handle he can hang onto. Also has hooks to fasten his own water bottle too. I was tired of putting him in front of the saddle with me, and he didn't feel comfortable enough in back for me to lope. He says he butt feels much better now! Would defintely recommend this to everyone! May 13, 2011

never got it, you stopped carrying it.

I bought this to take my friend's kids on rides. I also bought the "mustang nylon kiddy-up Stirrups" for when the kids feel comfortable enough to sit in the saddle alone. (I'll still be leading the horse ofcourse!)

Works great for my 7 year old to ride along on trail rides.

can the tandem come off the saddle?
    jamie on Jan 10, 2015
Best Answer: Yes it detaches from saddle.
No it doesn't hold a child secure. I used mine one time. After a short distance on a trail me and my son started to go up a very slight incline. The tandem saddle came loose and my son started sliding back, fortunately I grabbed him before he went of the back of my horse. I looked over the tandem saddle and a couple of the straps had broken. Pretty much any where a little bit of pull was placed on the saddle it had torn a hole.

Does the saddle have enough padden in it that the child is not in pain while riding?
    tonya f on Apr 20, 2015
Best Answer: Yes it is exactly what we wanted and our 3 year old grandson enjoys riding on it with us. It is comfortable and it is secured well to the saddle with 2 straps on each side so it does not move.

Will this attach to all western saddles?
    Samuel L on Aug 13, 2015
Best Answer: Yes, I believe it will. There are no instructions with it,but you attach the long straps to the saddle dee ring. This is a nice seat for kids, but I attached a tie down strap to the rings on the place where they can hold on, as it did not come with a strap. Any strong rope or band with snaps will work for more security.

how does the tandem saddle get secured to the saddle? No instructions were included.
    Annette B on Sep 3, 2015
Best Answer: It attaches to the cinch, I had to YouTube it for instructions! You will never get it right if u don't. Very lazy on Tough-1's part not to include them! It's made well but the stirrips are wayyyy to long and my daughter is 9! Had to buy an assist set to sew on myself
