Rated 5 out of 5 by Love It Great pad. I ordered zebra to match my other gear, and it fits right in. Very nice, shock absorbing, fits my horse in the right ways. My horse has higher withers/lower back and it fits him just fine. Big step up from my $30 pad. Very happy with my purchase! January 21, 2013

Will this pad work with an Australian saddle on a narrow withered 16.2 thoroughbred?
Dreamsbig on May 8, 2015
Best Answer: I personally would get a more "round" type pad. This one is for square cut western saddle. I suppose it would work, might just look goofy. We used it on a round think quarter horse. I've seen pads made for high withered horses that might work better.

does this pad slip like other wool pads?
Polly L on Dec 7, 2014
Best Answer: I haven't had a problem with mine slipping at all. For the price, I am tickled with it. I got the one that looks like pink camo because it was really cheap .... it looked ugly in the picture but when I got it, it is kind of pretty and I have had a number of complements on it even! The quality seems very good.

How thick is this pad?
Sheshe on Aug 27, 2014
Best Answer: it's about 3/4 or an inch thick! I love this pad! It's got a layer of wool that touches your horse's back, a layer of neopreme then another layer of wool on top. It's a comfortable pad for your horse, has a cutout place for your horse's withers, and helps absorb your horses's sweat. I love this pad.
