Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product! I purchased this pad a couple of days ago, and both my horse and I love it. After riding her today, (muggy and warm) there was very little sweat under this pad as opposed to my old one. It stays in place and really keeps the saddle from sliding. No horse hair stuck to it, and what a beautiful bright purple color! June 29, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by My favorite saddle pad!!!! Love it a lot! Wish they priced it for what it is worth...a little cheaper! April 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it! Me and my 14 year old arabian mare LOVE this pad. She has a clubbed hoof, which affects her back, and this pad offers the perfect amount of padding. She is also pretty sensative about the things I put on her, but this doesnt bother her at all. The best part though, it doesn't get dirty. I've used this pad a good 15 times and it still looks brand new. I got the green and it is the prettiest shade. I get soooo many compliments about it at the barn where I board. I would recommend this saddle pad to anyone and everyone. It really means no slip. The first day I used it I forgot to retighten the cinch after she let out her breath and we rode for a good 20 minutes before I realized I could've tightened it five more inches. Also, she can be completely drenched with sweat and under the pad its dry. A really great pad! Definetly get it. February 3, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love It! Just got this saddle pad and used it last night on one of my horses. It fit so well and looked great under the saddle. I just ordered another one for my other horse! January 19, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by shock absorbing pvc saddle pad my horse had a normal saddle pad my mom got me a limegreen one my horse and i love it no hair sticks to it when it get dirty u can spray it off my mom likes my pad so much she is going to buy one too!! November 27, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Pad My thoroughbred has high withers and needs to build more uscle along his back so I got him this pad to compensate for it and it works so well! the bottom really lets air flow, I use it for everything I do on him from trails to barrels and it doesn't slip and his movement is so much better without his old pad that had too little padding or when I had to use two and it was a bit too much. It's a little expensive but it's a sturdy pad and is definitely worth it. November 3, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by beautiful product this pad is more nicer than its pic it is a nice size not to big and not to small plus it looks very dressy under the saddle it is comfortable for the horse I feel the price is a little high but I liked it that much I bought it and I am so glad I got it October 19, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pretty Darn Good i got this pad for my Saddlebred and she seems to like it. I don't really agree with the price but its lasted for a year and is pretty comfortable to her. I just don't like that the under lining clings onto dead hair and the hair is very hard to remove! July 2, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Awesome Choice! We bought this saddle pad on a whim. It was the ugly green color. We do alot of trail rides and this saddle pad proved to be incredible for our older horses and high whithered horse. They LOVED it. I only had one horse with a very sensitive back who did not like it. I put a baby pad under it and he's great now :) Great Buy. July 4, 2010
Rated 3 out of 5 by not the best i bought this saddle pad for my 5 yesr old gelding and i liked like looks and the top part but the bottem where it sits on the horse is very disaopinting. i ride sevral horses and none of them will tolerate the prickly feel on their back. May 25, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Real nice saddle pad I bought 1 of these saddle pads, And like it so much i bought another 1 and plan on buying 1 more. and i told my sister about it so now she going to buy 1. real nice pads, my horse love it. May 6, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Felt/pimple grip pad Bought this pad used, and love it. I use a thin liner under the pad. The pad doesn't move, even during some extreme trail riding in the hills. December 3, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pretty good pad. My fiance bought this for me in purple for my birthday. It definitley has a stiffer kind of bottom to it, but that is what makes it slip-resistant. My horse has a semi-sensitive back and she doesn't mind this pad at all. I haven't used it enough yet to know if I would buy it again or not, but it is a (structurally) very well made pad for the money and it came in a pretty shade of purple. December 3, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Felt/Pimple Grip Pad I bought the pink one---it was very pretty--I loved it---Unfortunately my horse hated it. The under side of this pad is very prickly and my horse kept lowering his back trying to duck away from it and he danced until I dismounted and took it off. If you have a sensitive horse I would not recommend this pad. I had to return it. September 30, 2009

Christmas present for granddaughter--her personal request.
Marietta M on Oct 13, 2014
I chose this orginally for the color and the size. We got the neon green one. The thing that stands out for us though is that it doesn't get soaking wet with sweat like a lot of other saddle pads.

good reviews, has the gel padding I needed for my horse

Does this pad scratch the horse? Some of the reviews say the underneath part is extremely rough???
Carol K on Apr 4, 2015
Best Answer: I used mine to cross the state of Michigan in 10 days for about 250 miles. The only thing it did was rubbed some hair off towards her hind but that was due to riding 8 hours a day in hot temperatures. I still use it to ride and have no problem with short distance for riding about 4 hours. I absolutely love it cause it keep the saddle square and doesn't shift around even with my young mate and her attitude problems. Hope that helps.

Is it good for barrel racing?
A shopper on Aug 5, 2014
Best Answer: I do not barrel race but I do use it for everyday riding and used it to cross the State of Michigan on my horse. It helped keep my saddle centered on my horses back and stayed in place with cantering up all the hills while taking sharp corners. It is a great saddle pad, and I love it!

can you use them for regular western riding ?
Marina C on Jun 30, 2014
Best Answer: You can use the pad for regular western but mine wouldn't stay in place; kept sliding back. I think it's because of the synthetic material (felt like plastic mesh). I'm in the process of finding a professional saddle fitter to see if that's my problem. However, others have said that it IS bc of the synthetic material that it doesn't stay in place.
