We carry our hay in the back of the pickup and this should help with mess, weather protection.

Love these for traveling. No mess in the trailer or back of the truck. If you run into rain, no problem, the hay is protected. If camping over several days, it keeps hay fresh and dry at the campsite.

great bag for the price! ive had my other one for years,,the zipper pull tab did break but nothing a piece of good string couldn't fix(and with that it was actually easier to pull) this bag withheld rain and all,,,with all the pulling ive done with dragging on the ground,,,theres a lot of wear n tear on it.. so being this discount I decided to get another.....super sturdy bag!!!!

Thought it would work but bale of alfalfa was too big.

Can I carry my saddle and bridle in this bag when I tranport my house by horse hauler, Is it heavy enough?
A shopper on Jun 10, 2014
Best Answer: I wouldn't. It is very thin and I use it mainly to just contain hay when going to shows so there is not a huge mess. It is great for what I do with it, but it doesn't allow for a lot of people man-handling it from A to B. I just use wrap it round the bale and then transport the bags by wheelbarrow. Horse haulers prefer roughneck boxes or something with handles. Try Home Depot for tool chests. They are inexpensive and will survive the trip.

what are the dimensions of the bag? - in other words, what is the size of bale that fits?
rosalie m on Mar 19, 2014
Best Answer: it takes a two string bale just fine. It is snug so if you cut the string of the bale in the bag and it expands, you have to pry the first couple of flakes out. Not as generously sized as the bigger wheely versions, but great to just cover if you have to transport them in the truck because the trailer is already full of horses and tack.
