Rated 5 out of 5 by Vetrolin Liniment for Bathing Your HOrse I use Vetrolin to sponge off my horse after an invigorating ride. The liniment helps get my horse cool and prevents his muscles from stiffening up. I use a small amount in a bucket of water and sponge his entire body including his back, legs and chest. Its airomatic smell and oils get sweat marks and dirt off with out drying his coat. As a result he is shiney, smooth and smells great! Rated 5 out of 5 by it's a 5 star product! I have been to many barrel races and my friend will come up to me an hour before their run and say i can't run my horses leg is swollen, i say no problem come to my trailor! where i always keep the vetrolin lin, with a small bucket and a car washing spunge! i apply the vetrolin with some water mixed into it as well to the swollen area than tell them walk the horse around and do it 3 more times before they run and you know what! its worked 3 times at 3 diffrent shows with 3 diffrent horses! i like it b/c it is not a GEL once you use this you most likely will not go back to a gel you dont have to rinse your hands after applying it and unlike the gel its not going to get stuck inbetween your rings on your fingers and it dosnt burn your skin, now i see a lot of people say their horses dance when applying the product yes, thats mostly b/c of the smell and the icey hot feeling they may get when your applying it, it takes time for them to get use to it, and also you might want to try useing warm water! :) i love the product and its five stars all the way around! and its cheaper online on stateline tack than anywhere eles i know ! Rated 5 out of 5 by Depends on the horse I have been using this product for years (sometimes on myself!). It is BenGay for horses. I personally like to mix it with water and apply it with a spray bottle to the legs after a work out, before I rinse. Sometimes I don't bother to rinse. However, my most recent mare HATES this. She tap dances whenever I apply it. I have tried weakening the solution but I worry that it cannot be useful at the strength I am using. August 7, 2009
