I liked the full coverage with belly band. I read that uv protection is 70%. I have been pleased with previous Weatherbeeta products.

Does the top of the neck section have a velcro piece that may attach to a halter or fly mask to keep the neck part from sliding down?
Rachel P on Dec 29, 2014
Best Answer: Yes, there is a Velcro piece at the top. However, with my long necked horse, I needed to put a piece of baling twine to make it about 6 inches longer. It works just fine and I don't notice any extra bug bites on the temporarily exposed portion of his neck. When he isn't grazing, the neck piece is pretty close to what is pictured.

My 19 year old mare has a lot of white on her neck and for the past 2 summers has had sunburn even though I used a fly spray with SPF sun block protection. Would a fly sheet with the neck piece provide protection from the sun and could the neck piece be used without the fly sheet?
joan w on Feb 12, 2015
Best Answer: The weave of the material are pretty dense, so it offers some protection, but I'm sure some uv rays must get through. It's much better than having nothing. The neck piece is held on by a piece of velco that attaches to the back of the halter. It would probably slide when the horse has it's head down grazing. It would be safer to have the sheet there to attach to.

My horse is about 15.2 hands, thoroughbred. What size should I get him? The reviews are confusing me on if I should size up or not.
Alyssa P on Jan 3, 2015
Best Answer: We recommend that you measure your horse to ensure you purchase the correct fit. Please use this link for measuring instructions.

Once you have the measurement then order the size closest to that measurement.

Is this sheet heavy and hot?
A shopper on Jul 2, 2014
Best Answer: I live in Virginia and its usually humid and fairly hot. My horse seems to get a little hot in it (few sweaty areas), but overall, doesn't overheat her. She just wore it today in 100 degree weather and was fine…just make sure to get the correct size and don't size down in order to get the looser fit.
