Why did you choose this?

I already had the saddlebags, but I needed something smaller for the short rides.

They have so many pockets all zippered or able to close . We are with the Yavapai county Mounted search and Rescue and need something to hold a lot of stuff

I bought this bag a year ago, ride every weekend with two gatorade bottles on either side and it's still perfect. There are lots of pockets for emergency items needed on the trail. I highly recommend this bag.

because its hard to reach cantle bags when your sitting in the saddle. and I don't usually carry much stuff so they are the perfect size.

Are these bags insulated? Do they hold ice for several hours?
A shopper on May 13, 2014
Best Answer: Yes they are insulated. I carried drinks with ice packs not ice cubes and the insulation was great. Very heavy duty good quality horn bag.

I am looking for this for my husband who has an endurance saddle, will this bag strap on the front of his saddle? (no horn)
Cheryl D on Nov 28, 2015
Best Answer: Hi Cheryl. I have this horn bag and love it. I do not have an endurance saddle but looking at the two velcro straps on either side of the horn opening, it looks like it should strap tightly to the pommel of an endurance saddle. Looks like the velcro straps would feed through the gap of the pommel and over the top to velcro down. My bag has some very strong velcro straps so seems like it would be very secure. The only thing I don't like about the bag is that it has the two outer mesh pockets that seem to be for water bottles and they are very small and even getting a normal, 16.9 oz. bottle of water into the pouch is a struggle. I just sat here in my living room trying to work one of those bottles into the mesh pouch and it wasn't going in easily. So if you are on a horse and want easy access to water, that pouch doesn't cut it. When I used my bag for a recent pack trip, I just took one of my "bigger" water bottles and put it in the main compartment of the bag and it worked fine. Anna

Is this horn bag big enough for a 5" horn?
jodee W on Jul 14, 2014
Best Answer: I have a western balanced ride saddle. The horn is not as big around a a roping horn would be, but it is larger around than a cutting horn. I have no problems fitting this bag on my saddle and securing it nicely so it does not flop around.
