Rated 1 out of 5 by Did not like Cheap, thin "fleece" on noseband. Shanks tended to point in (like another reviewer talked about) and horse would chew on them and toss head. Not very good quality. I was disappointed. April 17, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't buy this...Horse did not like. Did not fit my Paint horse. Felt cheap and too narrow. Poor quality. The shanks had a tendency to point 'inwards' and enter into the sides of her mouth. Metal 'edges' where it attaches to hackmore were very sharp, and had the seesawing and cutting effect on my headstall which could be a disaster on the trail. Felt like it was NOT safe for horse or rider. You get what you pay for. Save your money and get a better quality one. November 3, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hackamore Great product i use it on my mare and Stallion they both respect it September 25, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by great its very great i wish it was more like $15.00 though but its so much better for the horse than a bit if your horse can respond to a hackamore its a lot softer than a bosal i personally love them also great for a horse that wont open its mouth September 23, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product! I've owned 2 of these and I absolutely LOVE them. The adjustable nose makes for a wide variety fit, the fleece for comfort, and it gives great control. My barrel horse will listen to nothing else! August 1, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good price for a good hackamore We use this hackamore on Tecolote's appendix mare Cat. She is a lesson horse who is also competing in dressage, so we wanted to make sure nobody messed up her mouth during training, so we are using this. Let me first say, it is awesome. There are a few problems. The strap that goes over the padded part likes to slip over the pad, almost falling off. When Cat gets bored she also likes to chew the shanks. However, it is great because you can easily perform a one-rein stop and also you can turn her better than if you were using a traditional hackamore. Great buy! Wish it cost a little less though. Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolutely AWESOME I absolutely love this hackamore! I thought it was exactly like one that I had for my mare in the past, but this one is way better quality! I love how padded the nose strap is, and the supple softness of the leather. This product is SO worth the price! June 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works Well i just bought this hackamore to see if my horse would behave in a hackamore (he can be a bit hyper) and it worked really well! I think I am going to exchange the noseband with a flat curb strap for just for a little more kick, but even with the wide noseband he did fine. I was able to get his head down in it and for the first time he didn't have trouble picking up his left lead (maybe I was doing something wrong with the bit?) !!! I also tried a mechanical hackamore on him which he HATED, but he likes this hackamore. Overall a good product :) March 18, 2012
