    This bit can be used on any horse. I have used on gaited and quarter horses. You can plow rein if needed because of the swivel shanks, but you have to be an experienced rider or you can really screw up your horse like my neighbor did. So if you have rough hands don't buy it. It is of good quality somewhat and good for showing horses. It is a very pretty bit in your horses mouth and looks very nice. Just be experienced before you stick it in some horses mouth.
