Great bit!, 2/14/2012

My mare was ridden in either a halter or tom thumb before I got her. She has a very sensitive mouth and would throw her head a lot. I got her this bit and she loves it! She doesn't throw her head anymore and she responds really well! I highly recommend this product!

I also have an English copper bit just like this, only with the full cheek sides. I love them both, so does my horse, Q Baby. I used to have to ride her with a bitless bridle or a hackamore cause her mouth was dry and the corner of her mouth cracked and bled and was very raw, but not any more thanks to this bit. Highly Recommended

Not as pictured but good quality, 2/7/2011

I ordered this bit and received something totally different than what is pictured; it was made out of black iron with very thin copper stripes. What I received was good quality, though. One of my horses doesn't care for this particular bit because the copper makes him slobber A LOT. He started to choke on all the foam in his mouth, so I took it off his headstall and tried it on my other horse. He seems to like it fine and it doesn't make him slobber at all.
