Ok bit for the price, but bars seem thick, 1/2/2013

I was given a bit just like this one. It is very solid and still works , but the bars seemed a little thick for my mare's mouth. Could just be her, but take that into consideration. Otherwise, it is a good, tough bit. I plan to buy a sweet iron D or other instead, though.
