All my horses love this bit. Very good contact with their mouths. I have a 1D barrel horse and this actually his competition bit, he is a very finicky horse but loves it!

My horse responds to this bit very well compared to the snaffle.

My horse just wasn't listening to the snaffle over jumps. This fixed him right up! Not to rough, not to soft. It's amazing and has turned my horse into a different horse over the jumps. He liked to swerve either away from the jump, or toward the gate. I also had problems keeping him calm and slow on cold mornings. Now, he listens great!

I love this bit for suppling. I ride all my horses in it about once a week just to keep them soft. I also bit-up my horses and push them in the round pen in this twisted snaffle frequently. Great for bitting-up on each the side, between their front legs, and to their tail. Love it!

This bit is perfect for any horse. In the right hands, it is no more harsh than any other type of bit. I was able to ride my 13 year old ex-racehorse in it, who was completely relaxed and never did anything wrong (I liked to have the control there if needed, because he was an ex-racer and I wanted to make sure I could stop him if he got out of control with running when I first got him.) He loved the bit, and took to it perfectly. I could also ride my spirited, speed crazy Quarter Horse with it, and it's the only bit she respects. In the right hands, this bit is so versatile! I highly recommend it to anyone who has soft hands and a horse that needs a bit more control than the average horse, or for someone who wants the control to be there if needed. I also like to start horses in this bit, because again, the control is there if needed, but if it's not needed, this bit can function like any other snaffle bit.
