Slips off easily, 2/22/2012

mrushing from Portsmouth, VA

Like a previous reviewer said, the product does not stay on the boot well. You have to pull the whip perfectly straight up to get the clip to stay on the boot. But in a real life training situation, you have only a few seconds to get the whip out which usually involves drawing the whip at a slight angle. Even pulling too hard straight up will cause it to unclip from the boot but remain clipped to the whip. Anyways you look at it, too aggressive of a pull will cause the clip to dislodge. Unless your in a manicured ring to make this clip easier to find when it falls off, you may end up losing $10.

Not very usefull, 5/11/2010

Beaumont Rider from

This product might be OK for the ring. I trail ride and it's difficult to remove your whip/crop without the whole assembly coming out. If you travel through brush it will come right off. I wanted something to carry my crop other than sliding it into my boot and thought this might work, it doesn't.

This was a great product to have. It was perfect for my stubborn pony. He used to freak when he saw the whip coming his way. But know it is so much easier to ride him!!!
