CAN YOU USE THIS WITH POLYTAPE?
DEBBIE T on Sep 25, 2015
Best Answer: You could, but Zareba does not advise it because whenever poly is used with a pulsating charger such as this one, it cuts the voltage in half. The multiple wire strands diffuse some of the voltage. Since the output voltage is 2300 volts, half of that would probably not be strong enough to contain a horse. Zareba recommends that a charger of at least a 10 mile range be used, such as the Zareba Deluxe 10 Mile AC Charger (Item E002619). That one's output voltage is 8600.
