Devilena's Delights
Ingredients:
1 Cup apples or carrots (I use half a cup of each)
1 cup oats
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons white sugar
1 teaspoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
¼ cup molasses
About ¼ cup water

Instructions:
Cut up your apples/carrots into small pieces (carrots can be grated, apples should be diced), measure and set aside. Mix together oats, flour, salt and sugars in a mixing bowl. Add the carrots/apples. Mix in the molasses and vegetable oil. Then add about ¼ cup water or as much as needed to allow all of the dry ingredients to mix into dough. Dough will be sticky but should not be overly runny. Place teaspoonfuls of batter on an ungreased cookie sheet with reasonable spacing (they won’t change size much, they’ll just get firm). Bake for 10-15 minutes at 350 degrees. Once cooled, give them to your favorite horses and watch them disappear.

Diamond's Delight
Ingredients:
1C Wheat Bran
2C Rolled Oats or Flatten Barley
1C Molasses(I Use Dry and add hot water)
1/4C Corn oil
1C Wheat flour(add more if mixure too wet)
Pinch of salt
Water or applesauce for consistancy

Instructions:
Mix bran and oats/barley and salt with hot water and let stand 10-15 mins. If using dry Molasses, then add hot water to make 1 cup wet. Mix all together. Add oil and flour to get sticky mixture. if not, add water/applesauce or flour as needed. Roll into small balls(use cold water on hands to stop the mixture sticking on you!)and flatten on foil lined cookie sheet. Bake 325 for 1 hour or until dry. Then turn over and leave in TURNED-OFF oven for 2-3 hours. Check for crunchiness. In wet weather I leave in overnight and you may have to have adjust temp on oven depending on your location. I give one treat after a successful ride!
