Ru's Treat
Ingredients:
2 Carrots
a fistful of sunflower kernels/meats
a candy cane
or any combination of things your horse likes for a treat

Instructions:
Slice carrots into 1/2 to 1 inch slices. Break candy cane into 4 or 5 pieces. Put carrots and candy canes pieces into plastic bag, add sunflower kernels. Take mixture to pasture. When you put your horse's hay out, make a few small piles of hay around and sprinkle a few chunks/pieces onto each pile. THe sunflower kernels will fall down into the piles but that only makes the exploring that much more fun! Your horse will spend the next couple of hours searching for his treat. My horse, Ru, is an only horse right now and this keeps him busy for a while.
