I've used this before in an aged horse with ringbone and am now using in 2 with arthritis. The liquid has worked better for me over the pellets. Just a pain to keep liquid during winter but my horses appreciate my extra effort!

It works!
Linda W on Sep 30, 2015
Formerly purchased as B/L Solution. It's great to have some form of pain reducer on hand for minor injuries/illnesses. It's natural so I don't have to worry about it harming my horses' stomachs.

This has been so helpful for my horses especially my 36 year old mare. She lays down less and moves more. All the horses really like it too and will eat without any grain.

How long does buteless stay in a horses system?
Jessica on Jul 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi Jessica! We recommend speaking with your veterinarian as it will vary from horse to horse.
Does this come with a pump?
A shopper on Mar 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I don’t believe the gallon size automatically comes with a pump. I had bought one for another product and used it. Also, if you have the smaller squeeze-up size container, you can use a funnel and refill it from the gallon jug for the cost savings. Customer service should be able to let you know if you need to order a separate pump.
I use Adequan can I also use Bute-Less?
Lisa M on Mar 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Consult with your vet on that one.
Can you use this on a dog with a muscle bruise?
BRENDA H on Feb 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I wouldn’t. I don’t have the bottle anymore so I don’t know for sure if the bottle says you can use it on dogs, but unless the bottle says that it’s definitely ok for dogs or you check with your vet, I’d be afraid to risk it.
Can you use this with banamine ?
Bobby on Nov 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have never used it and I would ask my vet to see if it was ok
Could i use this on my ewe?
Courtney B on Nov 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have only used this on my horses - I would ask your Vet. I am sorry I couldn't be more helpful. It does work wonders on horses.
I would like to know if this is safe for mini horses?
Marge R on Jul 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We do not have mini horses. We have a large quarter horse. But I can't imagine that this would be a problem for a mini horse. The ingredients aid our horse's digestion. Perhaps you would need to figure out the correct dosage, but that would be the only concern I would have.
Can you give buteless to a horse more than once a day?
A shopper on Apr 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: yes you absolutely can. there should be directions on the bottle but depending on you horses situation and pain level, you should check with your vet. hope this helps
Hi there, how long does this product take until it starts being affective when given daily?
Emily C on Feb 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Once you find the right dose for your horse, it doesn't really take long to see its effect. You want to use a loading dose first. The label information is pretty helpful. I'd say a month's time when first using it is more than sufficient. I had 40 some horses I cared for at any given time and, I'm still using BL (buteless) almost 20 years after first discovering it. My older horses especially, greatly benefited from it. Early on in my years of using it, I ran out. A week off of it was INCREDIBLE testimony to its effectiveness! It's currently a vital part of keeping my 30 year old mare moving around 24/7 comfortably yo mare
Would it be safe to give to a horse with copd?
A shopper on Jun 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi, I am not a veterinarian (so I'm no medical expert) but I do have a 35 year old 1/2 draft 1/2 tb that I give this to. He has been diagnosed with copd and he has not had a problem. Didn't even think of it being an issue, but this seems to be a very safe concoction. Have recommended it to other horse owners and they have been happy with it too.
How many times a day can bute-less be given to horse???????
A shopper on May 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: on the bottle it says one ounce per day, I give my horse one ounce in the evening in her feed. But i guess you could give half an ounce twice a day.
is buteless safe as a daily method of pain relief for horses with stomach ulcers in their past?
JUDY D on Mar 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Interesting question and I have the same one. I have a horse that seems to have stomach ulcers we are going to figure it out with an Indus copy this next week but the anti iacid drug that they are probably going to put him on says do not use inflammatory medications with it..
How long does the liquid Buteless keep? Which do picky eaters handle better, the liquid butless or the pellets? Can it be used for the pain associated with an abscess in the foot?
A shopper on Nov 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have used Buteless in both forms and have never had an issue with the horses not consuming all of it. After my horse had a severe leg injury and I ran out of Bute, he was switched to Buteless pellets as I couldn't find the liquid form I used for my aged horse for arthritis. Today he is back to full function as he was able to heal well from the injury. The ingredients in Buteless have safe to use over many years for my pony with laminitis.
