Fitting Your Horse's Blanket:
The fit of your blanket is extremely important to the comfort of your pony. An improperly fitted blanket can cause rubbing and slippage. To find out what size Amigo® blanket your pony needs, measure the distance from the center of the chest to the center of the tail. Horseware Amigo® blankets are sized in three-inch increments, so you will need to choose the closest size available. If you measure between sizes, we recommend that you round up.

Care Of Your Horse’s Blanket:
To keep your blanket as comfortable as possible for your pony and to maximize the blanket's life, we recommend that you clean your blanket annually. First, remove excess dirt from the outside of the blanket with a brush and hose. The blanket can then be washed either by hand, or on a delicate cycle with cool water in a commercial washer. Use only very mild soap. Horseware® recommends Rambo® Rug Wash, an environmentally friendly product for use on synthetic fabrics. Rambo® Rug Wash will effectively remove dirt without damaging the waterproof coating. When the blanket has been washed, allow to drip dry and ensure that the blanket is thoroughly dry before storage. Do not put your pony's blanket in the dryer or wash with hot water. Do not store your pony's blanket if damp or wet. This will damage the waterproof coating and void any warranties. In the unlikely event that your pony blanket should become nicked or damaged due to horse abuse Horseware® recommends Rambo® Stormsure or the Rambo® Blanket Repair Kit to contain and waterproof the nicks that your blanket may incur through the years.

Very good in all respects.
Amigo blankets are my favorite. I have several in different weights for different weather and they are the best. Fit great and very durable

Great blanket! Keeps my horse dry in this northwest rain. I have a smaller sized quarter horse and the 78 fit perfect.

runs small, but very waterproof
I read some other reviews, and was able to order the right size for my mare. She normally wears a 78 and the 82 fits her perfectly...this sheet is really waterproof...the rain just beads off it, and keeps her warm and dry!The reason I gave a 4 for durability is because I have not had it long enough to give it a 5. It appears well made

Runs small
My big girl fits great in the 80" but normally she's a 78"My little dude, who usually fits in everything, couldn't fit the 76" over his chest. Returning for the 78". I guess I should have gotten him a size bigger too!

Runs small.
I thought that the sheet came with the hood. I does not. The sheet is really good quality but does run a bit small. My horse normally wears a 78 but will need a 80 or 81 in this brand.

I liked the looks of it and it fit what I was looking for , for this time of year

The photo appears that the neck cover is part of the sheet. Only after I received the sheet did I find I need to order the neck cover separately.

How thick is it?
A shopper on Oct 9, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The sheet was light-weight with no fill, perfect for fall or putting over a liner... beware though, it is sized small, and I had to return mine as it wasn't the right size or shape for my TB mustang.
Does this come with neck attachment?
Suzanne H on Nov 7, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It does not. The neck attachments are sold separately. The no-fill is item #E010096 and the one with 150G of fill is #E010097.
What kind of material is it?.
A shopper on Sep 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Not sure if the material but it is waterproof and breathable. No lining. Only 600denier so not as durable.
My quarter horse usually wears a size 75 in this brand. What size should I order since it runs small? Will the 76 be big enough?
CATHERINE B on Nov 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Please re-measure to be sure. Stand your horse as square as possible. Measure from the center of the chest along the side of the body to the point of the horse's hindquarters just before the tail. If your horse ends up measuring between sizes, choose the one closest to your measurement unless your horse is particularly big-bodied.
Measuring is usually best done with a helper and a soft or cloth measuring tape. Take the measurement twice to be sure.
