Can it be stored in the heat or does it need to be refrigerated?
christine m on Jun 12, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It does not need refrigeration. I kept mine in my feed shed in temps in the 80's and 90's without any problem. However, I used it up in about 6 weeks. I'm sure if left in high heat for months, it would go rancid.
About how many servings could you get out of this for one horse?
A shopper on Sep 10, 2014
BEST ANSWER: A full size horse needs 2 ounces per day.
With a gallon having 128 ounces that gives you 64 days supply. If you'll go to Amazon and buy a 1 ounce pump it is very easy to administer. Product works great. We put over 200 lbs on our Thoroughbred this summer.
What are the other ingredients in this product?
Betty C on Feb 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: 50% Flax seed oil, 50% Soy oil.
I'm hoping when flaxseed oil finally comes in I will get it for $18.74 plus free shipping.?

How do I measure out 1 ounce?
A shopper on Jan 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi,
I'm guilty of not measuring. But, I used to estimate ounces with a standard (plastic) kitchen measuring cup. Now, I just add a dollop of "Animed CoMega Supreme" to his oats. My 20'ish year old 1200lb. Appendix has been on this stuff for years and his skin/hooves are healthy. His vet approves =) I hope this helps.
Hello, what is the daily required feed rate for this? Thank you
B M on Mar 2, 2014
BEST ANSWER: 1 to 2 oz. is normal. I have even given up to 4 oz. prior to showing to shine up their coat even more. Works great!
can i give flax seed oil to 3 month foal?
A shopper on Aug 18, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I have been feeding an ounce/day to my three horses for several years. They are 15,18 and 22 years old. I would consult your vet or even the company to determine if it would be safe and the amount. The omega 3 is a good anti inflammatory as well as great for the coat.
I HAVE FIVE HORSES BETWEEN AGES 8YEARS-17YEARS. IN THAT GROUP OF HORSES I HAVE A PONY AGE 9 THAT IS NEEDING SOME HELP WITH HER TOP LINE. SOME OF MY OTHER HORSES ARE HAVING ISSUES GROWING MAINE AND TAIL HAIR. WILL THIS PRODUCT HELP WITH THESE ISSUES?
A shopper on Jul 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The omegas found in flax seed oil are good for healthy skin, coat, and hooves, and are also anti-inflammatory. We always have to recommend that you check with your veterinarian, but this is an excellent all-around supplement.
What would be the recommended daily dose for a yearling Arabian filly over the next year?
A shopper on Aug 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: An 1/8 of a cup per feeding if feeding am & pm no more than a 1/4 cup per day. Any more may cause a lose stool.
