I have a horse with very soft hooves and in the summer with all the rain they got very soft and were splitting and cracking. Our farrier recommended AniMed Hoof Medic and it seems to be working fantastic. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with a horse with soft hooves.

Horse has very thin walls and hooves grew very slow. The are doing much better now and the walls have thickened up.

I have a mare with a quarter crack. This had higher levels of biotin and methionine than most of the other supplements I looked at. It also had 4.9 stars and was reasonably priced.
SHARON S on Oct 31, 2015
Price per amount of biotin and other minerals was better than some of the others. Never used a powder before so I decided to try it. Horse ate it very well, mixed easily with feed. Haven't used long enough to really tell if it worked but I do see some new growth that looks better than the hoof before using. My mare has very bad feet. They crack all the way from ground to coronet band and throws shoes easily.

How much should I give to my 200 lb miniature horse?
A shopper on Jun 9, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Feed 1 ounce (2 scoops) of powder daily mixed with normal feed ration, or as directed by a veterinarian.
Note: The large end of the enclosed scoop measures 1/2 ounce / 1 tablespoon.

Size: 4 lbs (up to 64-day supply).
Would this product be good for a horse with thin soles? Thanks!
Ashley W on Mar 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes. I suggest feeding the higher dosage and don't expect overnight results. It took a year for my horse's hooves to completely improve as both his walls and soles were thin. His soles were the first to show improvement and he will now hold a shoe up until my shoer comes again. Never before feeding him this. Good luck.
