Suggested by Vet
This wormer is in my rotation on the suggestion from my Vet. I use it in the summer when Bots aren't an issue and likely not Tapes either. I was urged to us this brand only of Oxibendazole. I have used generic wormers but my horse never looked bright and perky. I have gone back to Brand name wormers.

cheap and apparently tasty
The cheaper wormers seem to smell and taste better to the horses than the expensive ones. Get the cheap ones, they'll spit out the stuff less. Although, they still don't want it, and can you blame them? When I started using this stuff, tho, they all kind of seemed a little surprised.

Gave most of my horses the runs and sick
I own a boarding stable of about 17 horses and over half them got the runs for several days and 1 even had to be given meds after using this wormer and about 4 of them went off feed for few days. i wont be using this brand of wormer again. it made all the horses feel like sick for almost a full week.

I have a 26 year old thoroughbred who constantly scratches his tail. I have used Zermectin Gold, Quest Plus etc to try to get rid of the pin worms and just can't quite get there. So when the review said that they were able to rid one of their horses of pin worms that nothing else had touched I wanted to try it. We will see if I have any luck.

I have a miniature horse stallion and i'm trying to find a wormer that has a low enough dosage for him, but also covers many things. Would you recommend this for me?
A shopper on Mar 20, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I rotate wormers/anthelcide in the spring/ivermectin in the summer and strongid in the fall. I also have a minature gelding and a 15 hand quarterhorse gelding. I give my mini enough wormer for 200 lbs and the rest to my quaterhorse. I've never had any problems and have used this system for over 40 years with all my horses. Hope this helps you. Thank you
what is the best wormer rotation for the rocky mountains, where tapeworms are not really a concern?
Tacoski on Sep 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It is best not to do rotational worming. It is better to have fecal tests performed to determine the egg count and if worming is needed to worm based on the type of eggs present.
Is this product safe for pregnant mares?
A shopper on Jan 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes it is safe for pregnant mares and your breeding stallions
when do I use the following wormers oxibendazole, fenbendazole, pyrantel?
carla p on Aug 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I do 3 way rotation on mine--pyrantel Jan-Feb: Ivermectrin Mar-April: Oxibendazole May-June, then repeat.
You can google Daily, Two way or Three way worming schedules.
Can I give this dewormer to foals?
Peggy L on Jun 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The weight markings on the syringe start at 100 lbs. The packaging makes no reference to foals. We would have to recommend double-checking with your veterinarian first to be on the safe side.
My horse has greater than 900 epg of strongyloides…..I saw on a University of Tennesee website regarding worming, that it was recommended in our area (upper East TN in November) this time of year to give this product (Anthelcide EQ) PLUS give Strongid Pyrantel Paste at the same time….does this sound correct???
Linda L on Nov 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, this is not something we are able to advise. Please consult with your vet regarding what would be best for your area.
Is this safe for weanlings?
A shopper on Feb 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We have to recommend that you check with your veterinarian, who will be familiar with your weanling's entire health picture.
do you have wormers for draft horses or do you just use 2 syringes?
carrie s on Feb 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The worming products we sell are not specific to type of horse. Please consult your vet for dosage suggestions for draft .
