If I use a 16" Western saddle what size Aussie saddle would I need?
Sierra B on Apr 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: 18" because it is measured from the button on the side of the horn to the back of the saddle, it basically adds 2" to any size western saddle. I ride a 16" western and have an 18" aussie and I'm comfortable. You are supposed to be snug in an aussie.
